I’ve been twice – a weekend lunch and a Thursday dinner. It’s nice to have an upscale dining option in the neighborhood. Lunch was a bit more chill but dinner definitely is an event – the place is packed and gets loud. Not overwhelming though. Reservations are a must at night. Parking is tough- the valet often has a waiting line. I have parked a block away on the side streets and it worked fine as long as you double check for no parking signs (ha for a date night I’m gonna use valet).
Service has been professional and very efficient and friendly both times. They seem to have good systems in place.
Food: I feel it’s really solid and I haven’t encountered anything I didn’t enjoy. On the flip side I wasn’t completely blown away either. I really liked everything it’s just that it doesn’t quite achieve 5 star ratings for me considering price point. Cheese beignets are light and flavorful. Tuna tartare cones are pretty nice. Pork chop and chicken were good entrees. I had a sandwich or maybe a burger at lunch and enjoyed it.
I’ll go back and I’d also love to get a drink in the bar behind the restaurant near the restroom entrance: it’s looks interesting – it’s just it’ll have to be the right time when I want to deal with the parking questions.

I truly thought this was going to be a 5 star experience, I’m almost wondering if we just came on an off night because I’ve heard such good things.
The build out is stunning. I absolutely loved the vibe of this restaurant. It has so much charm. I came here for a girls dinner, and we had such a good time. Our service was perfect, and the music was at a great volume for all of us to talk. I got the morningside spritz and loved it!
The food is what shocked me. I was surprised by the steaks. We were told Goodwin’s was known for their steaks, so I got the filet and my girlfriend got the strip. Both steaks were cooked to perfection, and looked beautiful but lacked seasoning. Both needed salt we were really surprised because they looked so good.
We ordered the cheese beignets, mac and cheese, roasted mushrooms and cookie butter cheesecake. We liked the mushrooms and the cheese beignets. The mac and cheese was just okay. The cookie butter cheesecake was extremely rich, the cookie butter was overpowering. My girl ordered the pork chop, and that was everything! Get the pork chop!
Again, maybe an off night. I may try going again!

Goodswings is an awesome spot overall. The service was excellent—everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambience was brilliant too, with a comfortable and welcoming vibe that made the whole experience enjoyable.
The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because my entrée wasn’t as good as I expected. Everything else, from the atmosphere to the staff, was spot on, so I’d definitely come back and try something different next time.

I was anticipating a really good experience at Goodwins, but it came up a bit short. The atmosphere is wonderful. The colors, tones, artwork, and lighting all combine to give you a warm feeling. It creates the impression you are going to have an elevated and enjoyable experience. But there’s a but… We did enjoy ourselves, but the food was hit and miss. The chicken cutlets, although cooked well with a slight crunch from the breading, lacked flavor. The mac and cheese suffered from the same lack of flavor and was too dense. Two bites of it and you feel full. To remedy the situation, it took me several minutes to flag down our waiter to request some salt. It took several more minutes for him to return with the white crystal flavor enhancer. None of this was particularly egregious. But when you’re seated in such a well-appointed dining room, the disappointment you feel when the food and service aren’t on par gets magnified.

Upon entering the ambient lighting and decor sets the tone for the dining experience. Dining rooms are split into a front and rear areas. Food and service were great. Recommend making a reservation for timely seating. Neighborhood street parking available near restaurant or you can valet at the front.

Met here for cocktails at the bar. Loved the ambiance, service, and cleanliness of the establishment! I didn’t try food, this time, but the drinks were absolutely amazing! There was a lady next to me who raved about the Starcrunch Cake with ice cream, I didn’t get a bite, despite her offer, but I will try and come back to update the review.
I can’t wait to return.

This place is seriously a hidden gem. The food is amazing, the service is perfect and they even have parking!!! Highly recommend the tuna cones! They are freaking amazing. Alex our waiter really took care of us. Overall can’t say enough good things

I had my birthday dinner here and they were only able to accommodate our table for 2 hours for dinner service, which they made very clear at the time of the reservation. They then were able to seamlessly move us into the Goose Bar after with a table reserved for us. Excellent service and excellent food. The hamachi crudo was amazing as a starter and we had several other starters for the table, including the cheese beignets which are a must. The short rib Bourguignon was perfect for a cold winter night and all the cocktails were perfection. Can’t wait to come back on another occasion.

We came for the mini hot dogs, Mac and cheese, and all the specialty potatoes. The vibes were immaculate and the menu is great. We can’t wait to come back and try the main courses. Highly recommend. Also the Goose bar was top notch.

The fam surprised me with dinner plans here. We live up north so dinner on Lower Greenville is always a treat.

Everything was great! From the Cheese Beignet, to the Old Fashioned, Pork Chops, Kale Salad, Fried Zucchini, and the ginormous chicken tendies!
