The best Mexican spot in town. Lived here a while. The meat shop next door and the restaurant. I have never had bad service or had to wait. Every question I had answered in enough details for how I asked. 10 out of ten a good spot. The queso birria is bomb. The chili platters are bomb. Check this spot out

Let me start by saying that the food that I did get was pretty good. Everything else has a lot to be desired. We got takeout today and and ate in about a week ago. When we ate in, our server sat down with the rest of the employees while they all had their own feast. We had to ask multiple times for refills to be completed before they actually were, my husband’s meal was 8 shrimp wrapped in bacon and when we ate in they only gave us 6 and when we did order pickup today, they only gave 7. My husband called and they said well the shrimp used to be smaller than they are now so we changed the amount. Their menu still says 8 so we expect to get 8 especially when it was the most expensive meal ordered. Now on to my son’s order today. I ordered nachos and paid extra to have queso. No queso was provided. Shredded cheese melted on top of already soggy nachos is not considered queso in any restaurant. We will not be going back here.

The food was ok, but not worth what we were charged for it. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that charged extra to put green chili and cheese on a bean burrito. Do they really sell plain bean burritos? Plus, kids meals were $7.50 each, but that apparently did not include a drink, and a cup of milk was $4.50! That’s more than a gallon of milk costs these days! I don’t recall any of that listed on the menu, either. No wonder it’s always dead in there, no one can afford to eat there. Quit up charging everything, please. From this visit I do not recommend, and we will not be returning.

Just find a different place to eat for so many reasons. The food was so salty I could hardly get through it. Only wanted to get through it because it was so EXPENSIVE for what you get. I couldn’t get through the beans at all just tasted lile salt. Everything costs more on top of a super expensive menu to begin with. Not a single other person in there at 7pm. That says it all. Also, they own the mart next door and it is not satisfactory either. Do yourself a favor and just hit taco bell. I’m done giving them chance after chance for convenience when taco bell is just right in johnstown and never disappoints. I hope this place closes down so we can get better options in milliken. Not sure how they even stay open, there is never anyone in there.

I’m from Texas where Mexican food is KING. I don’t expect Colorado to be as good but store bought tortillas? Are you serious? Then $20 for Carne Asada and it’s thin and crispy? Over $2 for a side of sour cream? No. Just no. Service was good but that’s about it.

After hiking for the day, we wanted Mexican for dinner and we found this gem.
The chips and salsa were pretty good. I personally lived the mild, but my family liked the hotter salsa. The guac was delicious and one of the highlights of the meal. Very fresh and tasty. Good portion too.
The staff was so friendly, very attentive and the restaurant was clean.
The food was delicious. We ordered 4 different meals. I had the shredded chicken chimichanga with the chili sauce on the side, our youngest had the shrimp fajitas (she doesn’t usually like Mexican, but is now asking me to make this at home). The shrimp was very fresh, great size too. Our oldest daughter had the taco salad and she ate everything but the shell (she doesn’t usually eat the shell, so that wasn’t because it wasn’t good). My husband ordered the enchiladas and a taco and said they were okay.
We definitely had a nice meal and would visit here again.

We paid $35 for 2 tostadas, 2 tacos, and a chili relleno…..highly disappointed and will not be returning, will be requesting a refund….
Update: I took the food back to get a refund like the employees told me to do over the phone, and when I got there they started remaking the food in the kitchen, so I told them no, I want a refund….so they then said their manager told them they could not do a refund, only a gift card….I want my money back for the nasty food not a gift card to come back. I was highly upset and made that known and was told not to come back. NO PROBLEM!

I just want to say that I was very disappointed that when I ordered delivery that the cheese dip appetizer that cost almost 10$ came in a small cup just barley over half full. I mean I know that inflation is a thing but for that price on a appetizer I definitely expected more
