We ordered breakfast. My omelet was burnt. Instead of breakfast potatoes I was served a fast food Breakfast hash brown. My grits were completely cold, and they were definitely old as they had crusty bits. The only thing served hot was the corned beef hash, and that was mediocre. The other two in my party ordered pancakes and they said they were delicious. That is the only reason why this review is getting two stars. The service was subpar. We had to ask for refills. When we did, the server looked annoyed. We asked for extra syrup and the server threw the syrup cups on the table. Not once that our server come by and ask us how everything was The place could use a good scrub. It looks very dirty. Needless to say, we will never come back here. We will stick to Weezie’s in Waynesboro.

I had to make a run to the vets office with my cat this morning and had to skip breakfast so I slid into the Whistle Stop Grill for breakfast. I got the Pool Room with two Med fried eggs, fried baloney,potatoes, and a biscuit with sausage gravy on the potatoes. Everything wS perfect except the eggs which were over cooked and I even made sure to ask the server if they could cook over medium eggs and she assured me they could but it was not to be. People ask Why don’t you send them back and the problem with that is the rest of the food gets cold while you are waiting for them to cook the eggs over again, so I just the eggs . Next time I will order them over easy and see what happens. The service was fantastic and the coffee was good and hot just the way it should be. Next time when I go back to try lunch I will get the hamburger steak with two sides cause the steak is 8 ounces!

Great breakfast. The restaurant had two large tables of 6+ people and the staff was in high gear! Nice to see staff that is working hard for the customers! Ordered the “Train Wreck” and it was delicious. Keep up the good work. Hope to visit again!

Food bad. Sweeps 1st place for worst pancake I’ve ever had, slimiest home fries I’ve ever had, driest grits I’ve ever had, and bad biscuits and gravy. If we weren’t starving there’d be a lot more food left in this pic.

Very underwhelming food. The hash browns came with a hair. And they were cold and looked old. The overall experience was very not good and I wouldn’t recommend. And the price on the menu did not match. I got charged more at the end

Awesome prices. Great hamburger steak special. The fries were your standard fries and the mac salad was sorta ok. While everyone working was friendly, it was a bit of a cluster with getting the sides delivered with the food. We also had some issues with getting refills. I’m hoping these are normal kinks for a new restaurant. Will definitely go back.

We stopped for breakfast. I asked for eggs not greasy and I soaked up 3 napkins. Rest was ok. My husband asked for gravy and biscuits and it was cold. He sent it back and they microwaved it. So dont think I would eat breakfast here again.

This is a great local greasy spoon (meant in the best way). Both people in my party got burgers, and we reflected that they tasted like 5 Guys burgers! The decor highlights the town and feels like you could get stories about each item if asked. I look forward to going back.

Had brkfst. When they put the cut potatoes into the fryer, they did not seperate them so the cane out raw. I told them and they offered to give me more. I was done so, “no thank you”.
