I usually don’t like to negatively review a place after a wrong order, but twice in a row? I ordered the first time a few month ago and got the wrong order, and now decided to try them again and got the wrong order again. Not only that, but is this considered acceptable for appearance? It was disappointing to see no sense of quality control with the pizza just tossed around in the box, and the pizza even appeared undercooked. Based on other reviews I read, it appears I’m not alone in that experience.

Papa John’s on Sutter Street deserves all five stars and more! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff here truly make you feel welcome and valued — they’re friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do.
The food was absolutely fantastic — fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The pizza had the perfect balance of a crispy crust, gooey cheese, and generous toppings. The garlic knots were melt-in-your-mouth good, and everything was served promptly without compromising quality.
What really stood out was the service. The team worked efficiently while still making sure every customer’s experience was personal and positive. It’s rare to find a place where great food and outstanding service come together so effortlessly.
Kudos to the entire staff — you’ve set the bar high for food, service, and hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

I used the “Too Good to Go” app to get a surprise bag. I didn’t check the pizza right away but when I bit into it, it took all of my jaw strength to chew through it. It looked like the pizza sat under a heat lamp for five hours. The cheese was hard, sauce nonexistent. Pepper shriveled and disgusting. When I asked for a remedy, they said, “tough luck”. Done with this store, never again to Papa John

The delivery driver was very nice and professional. The manager couldn’t of cared less. I did not order a flat bread/cracker crust pizza, yet I received the thinness pizza I’ve ever seen from Papa John’s and it was burnt! The manager sent a new pizza in return for the original mistake. The “New” pizza wasn’t burnt, but was also so thin it might as well been pizza sauce with cheese on a limp cracker. I’ve never been so disappointed with a pizza from this company.

Points on being one of the few places I’ve seen in the city that make a meatball pie. Now that being said the pizza was just ok, no complaints. The wings were good and they have a multitude of prep and sauces so well done. Everything was solid except the regular cheese pizza (not pictured) the cheese was gritty and that’s unacceptable. Now from my experience they might get your order wrong now and then so beware. ♂️ I know right.
