Got a pizza, an apple pie and the owner threw an extra cookie. Apple pie was so delicious that I pretty much ate it all by myself, thus ruining thanksgiving in the process so my only advice: don’t be like me, buy 2 pies.
There’ll be a queue outside, but in all honesty it’s very much worth it!

This local bakery was worth the wait. I had been wanting to go here for a while and finally made it tonight. Got there right as they opened and waited in line about 25 minutes (it was worth it). Finally got to go in and got a little bit of everything. It was all delicious but the thing that blew me away was the almond croissant. I have eaten some amazing pastries in Germany, Portugal, Argentina, etc. This was hands down the best croissant I’ve ever had!

My boyfriend and I were staying in 29 Palms for a couple of nights, and were highly recommended this bakery. We’d been road tripping for a week and had had a lot of disappointing food, so were pleasantly surprised that this recommendation was actually worth it.
This bakery is a MUST try. We shopped like kids in a candy store, and still enjoyed every single thing we got: chocolate scone, veggie pot pie, veggie sandwich, jasmine pearl tea, really strong coffee (basically like viet coffee), croissant, zucchini pizza, and the cilantro jalapeño mayo. They threw in a double chocolate cookie as well. Our absolute favorites were: pot pie (you don’t miss the chicken at all), double chocolate cookie (wonderfully salted), zucchini pizza, and cilantro jalapeño mayo (!! good on everything).
Note: There was a short line outside on a Saturday around 6pm that moved slowly. Only one party is allowed inside at a time and, while you can window shop while waiting your turn, once you get inside, so many more things come into view, so any time you thought you saved is nil. It made me feel a bit rushed, in spite of not being rushed by the man behind the counter (husband of the chef, so co-owner, I assume).
But it’s truly worth it. Just mentally prepare for a wait, and go. And get everything – you won’t regret it.

The ginger carrot soup was delicious, as were the red velvet cupcakes and brownies. The almond croissants are huge and quite dense – very filling. The bagels are okay, but I wouldn’t get them again. Unless you want to drive an hour to Palm Springs, Campbell Hill Bakery is a good choice. Definitely arrive before opening, as the queue gets quite long.

Honestly some of the best baked goods I’ve ever tasted.
Apple almond tart 10/10 – tender flaky pastry, tart apple filling, crunchy topping.
Short bread cookie 10/10 – short bread with a crisp snap when broken. Sweet and salty topping
Matcha chocolate chip cookie 10/10 – chewy consistency, you can taste the butter.
Cinnamon bun 10/10 – pillowy bun with soft creamy icing.
I’ve tried bakeries throughout North America and Europe, this place trades punched with the VERY best of them.
Nothing is overly sweet, everything is thoughtfully prepared and, I believe, will satisfy even the most discerning palates.
Excellent reason to visit 29 palms.
Hours are odd. There are sometimes lines (others have taken off a star for this…why? lol ). Worth it.

Campbell Hill Bakery in 29Palms is the food destination that excites me most! Yes there are many other great places in 29Palms, JT and Yucca Valley, but Campbell Hill Bakery never disappoints. It has a wide spectrum of baked goods, including exquisite pastries, breads, sandwiches, croissants, bagels, pies, pot pies, chocolate loaves, cookies and more. Delicious

Such a great spot!! So much attention to detail which really makes this bakery shine. Everything we had was exceptional and it’s all really quick, grab and go. Things sell out so get there early if you have your eye on something (breakfast sandwiches were sold out) the vegetarian pesto sandwich was insanely good though and delicious! The Ethiopian coffee was incredible. I should have asked for ice, but I know for next time. The blueberry brioche was so good too. Would buy again.

This is not hyperbole when I say the brownie we had here was one of the best baked goods I’ve ever had in my life! Actually every bite of food from here has been good. A must stop with in town. So glad they’re open at night now.

This bakery really is an amazing bakery. I just bought a cinnamon roll and it’s so fluffy and delicious. The owner says his wife bakes and he is always so kind. I have also received a cookie here and there just out of kindness. Must give this place a shot with so many things to choose from. Yummy options.

This place is incredible! Everything tastes unbelievably fresh, and the food quality is truly top-notch. The chef is one of a kind. I just wish I didn’t live two hours away because I’d be here all the time.
