The five-course Valentine’s dinner tonight was amazing! Chef Daniel creates dishes packed full of favor. If you haven’t tried Kismet your missing out! We also love his wife Monica, which should be employee of the month on her birthday month… just saying

Whoever A is in has obviously never been here and doesn’t realize it’s owned by a husband and wife team. He’s the only chef (why he’s always employee of the month) and a funny joke to us locals.

I absolutely love this place. The food is among the best in the region. It’s unique and friendly and delicious!! The paella is outstanding. I’ve been here 4 times and can’t wait to be back.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Kismet. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. We ordered nearly all of the appetizers, and every single dish was a hit—creative, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There were 4 of us, to give you a sense of ordering levels.

We left each dish needing a vessel to finish the remaining sauces, they were that good. A spoon will suffice, for real.

If pressed to pick only two, I would recommend the corn (Elote) and the Grilled Queso. And the drinks were all tasty, too.

Enjoy!

I’d been looking forward to trying this place for a while. The food was great and the service was solid.

That said the employee of the month wall felt pretty cringey. The display came off as oddly self focused and it was an immediate turn off for both my partner and me. If we had been seated in that booth we would have asked to move.

This is honestly one of my favorite restaurants I’ve been to. The environment is fairly chill overall, as well as comfortable.

The food is excellent! The presentation of each dish is beautiful, but it doesn’t sacrifice flavor for looks. The flavors of the dishes are well balanced, and combine ingredients in a delicious way.

I would 10/10 recommend this place.

Pleasant, small business; friendly service. Server was very accommodating of minor changes, and asked if anyone had food allergies.
Food was excellent, I highly recommend the potato croquettes!

I say this strongly, if I could have licked the dish clean, I would have. I went for restaurant week as a first timer here and was sat at the bar (solo diner, had reservations) and the bar tenders / waiters were friendly. I ordered the stuffed Anaheim pepper for a starter (I could eat this as a meal itself, delicious), the prawn paella as my main entree (the sauces on this plate I wish I would have asked for extra sauce it really makes the dish) and the tres leches for dessert. I also had a strawberry margarita nothing special but tasted fine. Overall great experience and food. Would recommend and will be back in the future!

Kismet is a absolute hidden gem in Hillyard! The food is seriously primo! Every dish is a masterclass in flavor. We started with the Grilled Queso and the Stuffed Anaheim Peppers, and both were 10/10. For the main, you HAVE to get the Pork Cheek Pasta or the Braised Short Ribs; the meat just melts in your mouth. Even the Elote is next-level. This isn’t just a meal; it’s a full-on culinary journey. Spokane needs more spots like this!

Kismet has gotta be one of Spokanes very BEST food spots.. hands down. Truly on another tier compared to most food options in town.
After trying just about everything on the menu at this point, I can confidently say, every dish slaps in its own UNIQUE way. My notable mentions who have to be the prawn paella, tacos whettos and the ceviche .. omg that ceviche !!!! Chef always prepares a fun desert option too (that never misses).
I really appreciate the convenience of being able to text in for a reservation.
The atmosphere is a bit quirky (it will make ya smile), and the team is truly amazing at what they do. Thank you Kismet – for making Spokane better !!

Extremely good spot, fairly small & not a large variety of food compared to larger restaurants but the food itself is clearly made in store instead of pre-packaged items. The dishes themselves taste great with multiple main items & lots of depth & interesting flavors, not just plain or simple food. It wasn’t very busy, but we were repeatedly helped & my group never ran out of water or anything, they were very proactive about taking care of us. The main area wasnt very spacious, but it was still pretty with a fun “best employee of the month” section with the only person working there. As well as a wonderful skeleton for every October. The pricing was definitely higher than a normal fast food place or a lot of the semi fast/restaurants that are around now, but it was well worth it compared to many other places in Spokane.
