I’ve driven by here many times and my curiosity finally took the reigns and steered me to Little Lou’s. In short I was very pleased. Let me begin with this, I grew up eating spicier foods (mostly Thai) and to this day I try to gravitate back as a treat (our 9 year old prevents us eating spicier). Given that, I ordered MED spicy and it popped with flavor and an elevated heat level…so I recommend lowering your spicy expectation down a step or two, if you think Taco Bell hot is hot; this might catch you off guard as you exhale fire. Everything seems more bespoke in flavor vs. mainstream offerings. The bread & sides echo a higher end deli signature. I like their cookings style’s interpretations from Southern, Nashville, to Michigan; And this wasn’t just the sauces, it even went so far as the type of batter dip. And lastly, I found the price points reasonable…its like a higher end chain in terms of price, but taste is more akin to a trendier eatery you might find in Birmingham, Corktown or Midtown. I certainly recommend.

The chicken was very good. I ordered medium, but I think I got hot. I will definitely skip the slaw next time. The Mac salad wasn’t bad. I also got the banana pudding pie. It was ok, not great. I would return for the chicken sando. Everyone was nice also.

Absolutely delicious! First time going here but will definitely be back next time I’m in the mood for some hot chicken. The OG chicken sando was a perfectly spicy big ole piece of chicken on very nice buns. I normally don’t love crinkle fries but these were pretty good. The collard greens were tasty as well. Lastly that banana pudding pie omg that was amazing!

Finally got a chance to try this spot… and it did not disappoint.
I ordered 2 plates (little Lou and 3 wings) and a sando – medium dry rub for all. Each one came with sides so we got fries with lil lou, greens+ potato salad with plate and sando. Food is made to order so we waited about 15 mins or so for it to be prepared.
Ok the sandwich was perfect – large, juicy perfectly fried chicken topped with pickles and a little bit of coleslaw on a buttered bun! I also enjoyed the greens – tender, perfectly seasoned a little bit of heat, a little bit of bacon. Hubby was not a fan, but I loved the dill that was coming through on the potato salad. Ranch and comeback sauce were delicious too. The stand out for all chicken!! Their wings are massive, the tenders huge. So much food we had leftovers for another meal. This will be my new spot and I’m looking forward to upping the heat to HOT.

The people that work there are super cool.
Amazing chicken. This is one of those places with good ranch. Fries are good too.
I didn’t like the comeback sauce. Not a big deal. Pickles were ok.
Great value and quality chicken .
Banana pudding cake is awesome.
I’ll come back agaín!!!

I went in for the first time today. I didn’t quite know what I wanted, so I was kind of fumbling. The gentleman at the counter was patient and helped me to choose. I decided I just wanted chicken tenders with medium hot spice. He told me the weight of the tenders, which helped me decide how many to get. And he described the heat of the spice to make sure I was okay with it. The chicken tenders were delicious, and the “comeback” sauce was a nice enhancement.I appreciated the friendliness of the gentleman who served me. I will be returning when I want a full meal so I can try some of their sides.

First time here annd grabbed some meals to go. I was not disappointed! The chicken was juicy as hell! Cowboy beans are fire! I through some tortillas on my stove and made a slaw, hot chicken and cowboy beans taco… let’s just say that made me shout out it was so damn good.

Wonderful fried chicken! The “hot” had a really nice heat. All of the sides are excellent especially the beans & greens. Ask about the market side – today they had a lovely pimento pasta salad. The service is friendly and helpful. Chicken can be fried to order so you may wait, but it’s absolutely worth it.

I ordered the wings. I had 2 “Hot” and 1 “Cluck Me Thats Hot”. The spice level was just where I liked it. Hot enough to know you’re eating hot chicken but not so hot that you can’t enjoy the food. The wings came with two sides. I had the fries and greens. I also decided to try a lemonade from Guernsey’s. The drink was a bit sweet, but overall, everything was great. I’ll definitely be going back for more.

I drive by this place all the time and just decided to try it ….. Holy. Crap. It’s SO good! The jumbo chicken tenders were HOT as in SUPER freshly made to order and so juicy I could hardly believe it . . Look at it glisten! (I posted pics) I chose medium for the spice level, I got Southern Slaw and Potato Salad as the 2 sides and a side of Ranch and Detroit Comeback Sauce for 50 cents each … It also came with a slices of nice chewy bread and pickles …. Bruh …. It was all super good …. I did not finish it, I have left overs….. It was $14.83 total and considering a pidily sandwich from most places costs that this was a bargain!
