Brasi’s Pizzeria is inspired by our late grandfather, Biagio Brasi Calzante. Nonno Biagio moved to this country in 1972 from Palermo, Sicily, where he was known as Brasi throughout our hometown. Our family has been in the restaurant business for over 40 years, opening our first pizzeria in 1979 in Westchester, IL called Altavilla’s Pizzeria. Through his passion and hard work, Biagio established himself in the restaurant business and solidified our family’s legacy. We are proud to serve authentic Sicilian recipes with fresh ingredients. We are here to carry on his traditions and values for many more years to come

I drive by this place all the time. The Chicago thin crust pizza group on FB led me here. I guess all of the high reviews on Google and Yelp had me hyped up. I ordered garlic bread and a 14” meat lovers pizza to go. They do have some seating inside, more seating than I expected. Initially, the garlic bread was okay. It has a more buttery taste than the other ones I’ve had. After I reheated it on my pizza stone, it became very tasty and crispy. The garlic bread I give it is 4.5. It tastes great if you use a pizza stone. The pizza on the other hand, I was underwhelmed. I ate it when it was fresh as well as on the pizza stone. The crust is bland and tasteless. The sauce was great. The toppings were okay. I ordered this ultra thin, crispy, and extra sauce. Pizza is like 2.5-3. Overall experience is a 3. This is a one and done for me.

First time there. A small, but quaint place with good food and service. Very picky about my pizza and I thought it was good. Order at the counter and take-out or have a sit down meal. We were serviced bread and olive oil as we waited fir our pizza.

Hands down the best food I’ve had in quite some time.
The lady working upfront is an absolute gem, as is the store itself.
Highly recommend, from pizza to pasta.
Do no sleep on this place.

We grabbed an early lunch there and it was incredible! The fried calamari appetizer was fantastic – crispy on the outside and perfectly tender inside. The deep dish took about 45 minutes, but absolutely worth the wait. The toppings were amazing, and the dough was the best I’ve ever had in a deep dish. The service was also top-notch, and the restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. We’ll definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again!

Today we decided to try out a new place. It seems like a small business so we had high hopes. The environment is great, and the building is nice. Shocked that it was not busy on a Sunday for Lunch/Dinner. Not too impressed with the hidden charges though, got all handed cups for soda that are self serve ($2.50 for soda), also was asked about cheese on garlic bread and was not told there was a $1 extra charge for CHEESE. We ordered Garlic Bread, Tortellini, Gnocchi, Spaghetti & Meatballs, and Jumbo Stuffed Shells. The dishes were priced a good amount but was disappointed with the quality. Was really hoping for authentic Italian food but was met with low quality. It was 48 minutes from sitting down to getting food served. Honestly the place was really clean, just has potential in food quality.

Recently stopped by Brasi’s Pizza and ordered the Chicago gold medal standard cheese and sausage pizza. The crust was thin and crispy with a nice char on the bottom. Even the middle pieces held up well. The pizza had a thick sauce and was nicely seasoned with oregano, black pepper and other spices. The fresh Mozzarella cheese had a good flavor and just a little bit of saltiness. The sausage was juicy, flavorful and had a good amount of fennel. An overall great pizza and I will definitely make a return visit. The owner is a super nice guy and he has been in the pizza business for many decades. Try the pizza at Brasi’s and you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered a slice of pizza, ravioli, and soup of the day.
The soup was like a minestrone. Usually I don’t like a minestrone. This soup was good. Hearty comfort food. I would order it again.
Ravioli was good. Had a bit of cinnamon in it which was almost a turn off. Good quality pasta dish. Definitely would order it again.
Pizza slice was a disgrace. Old! Dried out! Not edible food. Really disgusting. Had gas station pizza that was better. Very surprised with the freshness of the other 2 dishes that I received something so bad. It had to be several hours old under a heat lamp.

Ordered from Brasi’s for the first time, and selected delivery via the slice app.
I’m a pizza snob and honestly, this is up there with some of the best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had.
Got a large half cheese, half pepperoni, and a medium supreme.
The first is delightfully thin with a great crunch, but also has a nice chew.
While I don’t live in the area, when I’m back in town and in the mood for pizza, this will be the choice!
