We been wanting to stop and have a bite to eat here for a while now. Well we happen to be in the neighborhood and stop for my birthday lunch. The outside front could use a good cleaning of all those may flies covering it. However lots of places have them but keep up with brushing them away. So I ordered the wacky waffles and my husband had the cod/fries basket. Both meals were made with perfection,fresh and delicious.

One of the things that I noticed upon arrival was how well this team worked together. There were only two servers and the cook, and they were obviously slammed as every table in the restaurant was dirty when we got there. They focused more on their customer service and worked the dirty tables after taking care of the present tables. They worked together so well that it made an impression on me. The food was impeccable. Robust servings, great taste, and that Midwest vibe. They were very good about making accommodations as some members of our party were vegetarian. Highly recommend.

Great and interesting breakfast dish. I ordered “Breakfast Toasties” which were described as local sourced grilled sour dough bread, topped with in-house homemade cheese, seasoning, bacon jam and topped with two eggs. It was delicious. Only downside was initial waitress never came back to check on status. Second waitress came through and took care of things. Would definitely go back.

EXCEPT that the chicken & waffles had a maple gravy that I would happily drown in if given the opportunity.
Aaaaaand I WOULD have posted a picture of the biscuits and gravy, because they were absolutely marvelous, and only bested by my very own grandmother’s. HOWEVER, try as I might, they just don’t photo very well (try if you don’t believe me).
Needless to say, we had a great breakfast. We left full, and well caffinated. And will definitely be back.

We’ve been here several times and we’re never disappointed. Breakfast this morning was delicious. So many good and different choices on the menu out was hard for all of us to decide. I had the blueberry pancakes that were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and soft and chewy inside. Such a great “hole in the wall” place, if you’re in the area (just north of Oscoda) you need to stop and try it!

Whoever is back in the kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. Great service and even better food. The menu choices are unique and the flavors are fantastic. The ambiance with the mismatched lighting covers was quirky, but it definitely adds small town character to this gem. We will be back! ☺️

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch around 3pm. The menu states the dinner items on the menu are available after 4pm, so keep that in mind. There are a smaller number of items on the menu than some places, but still a good variety. We were greeted immediately upon walking in and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt and out food came out quickly. The quality was great, but the portions were on the smaller size in my opinion. Overall it was a great experience and we will have to return for dinner some time. It cost us $32 for both of us for lunch, including our soft drinks.

My wife and I just enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. My wife had the eggs Benedict with avocado and bacon while I had the spuds waffle with avocado and eggs. Excellent preparation, quality taste, and served hot. The service was friendly and attentive.

Stopped in for breakfast before heading home for the day and wow amazing food! The biscuits and gravy we couldn’t stop eating and we left so full but so worth it. The potato waffles were also fantastic and so savory.

Great variety in the menu and one of the best places I’ve dined in a long time. Ordered a pizza for pickup one night, had a late lunch another day, and tried their brunch menu on a Sunday. All three meals were fantastic and I would have gone back even more during the week if they had been open!
