Real candy shop in the front. Amazing vibe in the back. The Bootlegger was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The chicken tenders on it were PHENOMENAL and it was made with the legendary Brothers donut. Sweet, savory, complex flavor. Got one of their old fashioned special drinks…again very delicious. Wife got the Garden Gatsby and she loved it. Can’t beat the prices for the quality of the food. I left feeling stuffed. We were treated with some awesome live music by one man. Can’t recommend this place enough. Felt like we were in a big city, totally transports you out of Laconia. It was bustling on a beautiful Friday night while there was also a classic car show down the road. What a gem!

This is BY FAR the best kept secret in town – this bar has become my favorite!! I had never been to a “speakeasy” before and when I found out about this place, I knew I had to go! It was so much fun to walk into the candy store to find the “secret” candy in order to get into the bar. Once I walked through the little faux Coca-Cola machine, it was like I stepped into an entirely different place! The lounge/bar atmosphere is amazing – so relaxing and the decor was spot on! The menu was so creative and their “nightcap-one” is a must try if you like espresso martinis! The live jazz music was the perfect touch. This place is an absolute must try!

i came in on a weekday to grab a mocktail after work. it was incredible—very refreshing on a hot day. the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between comfort and elegance. service was exemplary and speedy, without cutting any corners. i will absolutely recommend this place to people living in or visiting Laconia, as i think both tourists and locals would enjoy The Candy Bar.

This place is a must-visit. The candy shop has all the nostalgic candy, and the speakeasy is moody, quaint, and definitely gives off mob vibes. I had the Marilyn Os drink; it was delicious. The apps were great, but we weren’t too thrilled with the pasta dishes. The bartenders and waitress were very nice, though. The high-top tables are a little wobbly, so when another patron sat next to us, she bumped the table, and my cocktail went down. Lol, nonetheless, we will definitely come back
