Had a very sub par meal a couple weeks ago and thought that maybe they were just having a bad night . So I ordered again today and the food was very disapponting again. Tasteless veg fried rice , month old eggrolls and just fair shrimp w garlic sauce .Prob wont be going back … all they need to do is take a little pride in what they do . they are the only Chinese food in the area ,they could be killing it .

Thought the chicken chow mein would come with noodles as mein tends to mean noodles, just got a slop of vegetables that is just soupy cabbage, would like if it was described as such on the online ordering

Worst of the worst Chinese food ever. 1st the people are very rude, I got asked “What you want??” And then she threw a pen at me to sign my c.c. slip. Get home and my beef lomein was BURNT all to hell and back. What a was of time and $. I drive by the Rt 81 Chinese food because they always have rotten meat, smells rancid. Now here they burn it. The cooks were to busy on their phones. Oh well guess I try and drive even further for bad Chinese.

I’ve read a lot of these reviews and they’re really just overreactions. The food isn’t gourmet level but it does taste great. It’s your average takeout joint, but it works well. Most of the takeout joints like this one aren’t going to be any different (or better!) than this place. Also, the disrespect to the owners isn’t cool. They’re just good people who are hard at work.

The orange chicken had a strange taste. Almost as if it were ammonia. The crab rangoon were over cooked with hardly any cream cheese. The jumbo shrimp spicy had battered shrimp that were all batter. Fried rice was extra bland and an off color. The order took 40 minutes and we were the only customers. Sixty dollars and none of the food was good. The only thing we ate was the sweet and sour chicken that was very dry.

*Update*
It had been several years since I had been here, so I figured I would give it another try. What a mistake. The only reason this place must still be in business with so many other local and delicious Chinese restaurants is the mere fact that it’s convenient to north Madison. Nasty, miserable owners, sub par food that is way over priced for what you get. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 15 minutes for good Chinese food.

Typical Chinese takeout. Don’t expect anything spectacular here. General tso chicken was meh. Their pork fried rice was good and their boneless spare ribs were very decent. This is a cash only business and they dont offer an atm inside as most of the other cash only businesses do, so come prepared with your cash.

The quality of the food is not consistent — some nights moderately tasty, some nights absolutely foul. It’s a 50/50 type of deal.

It’s fairly typical “Chinese” fare, and when the better cooks are working, the food is acceptable. It seems as though the food quality suffers on their busier nights… possibly because untrained people are used to prepare the food when they’re struggling to keep up with orders.

It’s the only local place in the Madison/North Madison area for Chinese food, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is it. I recommend staying away from dishes containing shrimp, because it is usually way overcooked. The pork and chicken dishes are usually a safer bet. Beef tends to be stringy and chewy here. If you want your food to be spicy, stress it with the strongest language possible, or else you will get your dish bland.

Good luck.

I lived in this town like 4 years and I am always pick up at this restaurant. They never let me disappointed. Their foods are so fresh, and sauce are the way that i want. I feel that their beef is very good. I love their General Tso’s Chicken and Mongolian Beef even the MeiFun are prefect to me too. OH! And very important thing is their Wonton soup and Hot & Sour Soup are pretty GOOD!! You can’t miss them. Have to call them soon.
