Quaint hole in the wall with 8 tables and a sushi bar. Looks like it will fill up fast on the weekends. The Sushi was solid, service was good. it’s a little hard to find inside the condo building.parking is a challenge. The crab Rangoon was really good, the sushi while solid and tasty just fell short of being 5 star. I will let you know my sushi standards are high.

This is “the original Kabuki” restaurant that was located in Crown Center with the original “Sushi Chef”! His creations are amazing now just like 15 years ago! Look at the photo!! The fish was amazing along with the red bean ice cream. I highly recommend sitting down and enjoying the atmosphere!!

Food was amazing, waitress and cook were so welcoming, and environment was cozy. Bathroom was small but very clean. Went during happy hour to grab half off sake and cheap very delicious appetizers. Need to get crab ragoon. Sashimi combo and salmon poke melted in my mouth, tasted heavenly. Octopus was a bit harder to chew; although I have Braces, it may still not be the best option for anyone with sensitive gums.

They would benefit from better promoting their store from the outside. Was not even sure if I was entering the correct entrance. Sign needs to be much larger with more eye-grabbing attraction from the outside.

Great spot for fantastically fresh and delicious sushi! Our group had a good deal of sushi, but also tried the salmon teriyaki, miso soup and edamame appetizers.
All was fresh and delicious. Server was warm and welcoming.
Parking was odd, so just parked across the way at the bank.

We have always had the best sushi with these chefs. It’s become one of our favorite things to go visit with them and not even order from the menu. We just let them make whatever they want to and it’s always delicious! They’ve even let us try dishes that they’re developing like some fried chicken or a bread pudding dessert.

Miguel, who creates the quality sushi is unmatched! The girls waiting on us were incredibly nice and engaged. I have been to many restaurants in KC over the years. This place is the most original. Parking- use the parking lot along the trolley trail on the east side of restaurant and walk through the condo parking lot, there are always parking spots and much less stressful than trying to find a spot on the street or in the condo parking lot. Vegetarian friendly. Visit!

Best sushi in KC. It is a legacy restaurant that used to be in Crown Center when I was a child. It’s a tucked away no frills sushi den. The fish is fresh and artfully prepared. The staff is warm and friendly. It’s a no frills place. They do take out.

We have visited Kabuki Sushi and hands down it has been my favorite place to get Sushi in KC!! It is cozy, quaint, and quiet. Service is friendly and prompt, and most importantly the sushi is DELICIOUS!! They have many options so there is something for everyone, and it’s very fairly priced! Definitely one of our staple date-night spots.

We had the most WONDERFUL experience here! Even without reservations, we waited only ~10 min on a busy Chiefs game Saturday night at peak dining time, and they still apologized about the wait! The restaurant is owned and run by one lovely family (who referred to themselves as the Sushi Dons of KC). We got veggie gyoza, which was perfectly light and crispy as the appetizer. For main course, my husband had chicken katsu and I got the sushi take combo. The presentation of the sushi was unexpected and beautiful on a cute little wooden boat. The food was impeccable, the service very attentive and personal, the atmosphere wonderfully intimate and welcoming. In short, the whole experience was above and beyond expectations, not only in terms of having a good meal, but in feeling cared about and taken care of–like being invited to someone’s home for a special dinner. We truly cannot quantify how much we recommend them!
