Nice casual Chinese food. No wait for walk in Friday night. Really liked the liquid egg yolk bun and bean curd puff. Soup dumplings could have been more flavorful. String bean eggplant was a bit too sweet snd saucy. The shredded beef was decent but flavors seemed a bit generic.

Overall nice place, good service, and decent selection of dim sum and Shanghai style dishes.

I had the pleasure of going here a couple of times in the past week and was impressed by the menu and the service each time. We were immediately greeted and sat at a table in the back dining room, which can be mostly private or lively, especially as there are some larger tables back there. We had the xiao long bao, both pork and crab and they were nicely prepared and flavored, with the traditional vinegar served and we carefully navigated getting them off the paper in the dim sum steamer and onto the soup spoon. Warm, brothy and tasty! We had some shumai and pan seared pork dumplings that also were nicely prepared.

As we were celebrating a special occasion we had a dish off the menu, scallion and ginger crab. It was expertly prepared and the delicate crab and the tasty sauce mixed well together. The standout dishes continued with the dry sautéed crispy shredded beef, the Tingling Curry Chicken hot casserole, and the red cooked short ribs in Hang Chow style being ultimate comfort food in the cold weather. The Shanghai fried rice was also top notch as an accompaniment or could be a main course. We had some pea shoots as well as some water spinach (off the menu). Both brought clean, bright flavors and some greens to the mix, though the beef ribs come with some greens as well.

Service was attentive and the water glasses and tea cups were kept full throughout our meals.

It is an excellent, traditional Shanghainese restaurant and the casserole recipes have been handed down from generation to generation, bringing deep, wonderful flavors, as they are slow cooked to perfection.

Great Dim Sum and really good Lychee Martinis. Was walking by and had a craving for dim sum. This atmosphere is lovely and the staff were so friendly. Steamed dumplings were excellent. They were light and so tasty. Truly authentic upscale Chinese food. Happy Hour 3-6 with great pricing.

Great tasting food at a reasonable price for the location. Our waitor was very attentive and gave our son some ice cream with a candle on top for his birthday and helped sing the happy birthday song with a smile. Food portions are perfect for sharing (our usual method of eating out family style). I left feeling satisfied and content.

Our go to lunch spot when we’re visiting the Natural History Museum. The food is good, fast, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I always joke that Chinese restaurants in real life never look like they do in movies with the nice decor and pretty round doorways, but this one does! Do not miss the soup dumplings! The skin is nice and thin, not doughy at all–and the soup is delicious! A lot of places have flavorless soup or too much grease. But theirs are really tasty.
This time we also had the crispy duck which was excellent! I love that they have real, traditional Mandarin pancakes with their duck instead of the fluffy bao, which seems to be more popular at other places that are less authentic.

Tridim West is known for its traditional Chinese Cuisine and mouthwatering dim sum. We tried the crab pork soup dumplings , crispy shrimp balls—they all packed with flavor and oh-so-delicious! The decor is modern and nice.
Whether you’re a dim sum fan or exploring the Upper West Side, this spot is a must-try! ✨

Good food! But no specialty or unique dishes. The menu is very much catered to the UWS customers, but they do their dishes quite well. The pork buns were especially great, and were sweet and perfectly steamed. Service was good. Overall a nice place to have on the UWS, and great for classic (although a bit Americanized) dim sum.

I can’t believe this was my first time trying dim sum! Future expectations are set!

Our server was incredible! I tried the tri-nut chicken (i don’t think that’s the official name) based on his recommendation.. great choice! The other person in my party had the Gu-lu pork with pineapple. We also had an order of the turnip shortcakes, pork dumplings, and the duck roll. We both had two alcoholic drinks. The plum wine and lychee martini are a must try!

Excited to come back for happy hour! An easy walk from AMNH also.

It’s Lunar New Year and I don’t have my family here to do our traditional homemade cooking. I looked up several different places for specific dishes to celebrate but also represents specific things (wealth, prosperity, health, longevity, etc.). I was able to find a few things here, which was great! At first I thought they weren’t delivering and was able to figure it out. The food hit the spot and delivery was super fast!
