Had the most delicious dinner here and the service was wonderful! I had the wagyu beef roll, Amberjack, salmon truffle and spicy tuna followed by strawberry moshi. I will be back again!

Such a great spot for sushi lovers! We tried 9 different hand rolls, and each one was absolutely delicious — super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully rolled. I’m a huge fan of uni, but I’ll admit their take on it just wasn’t quite my thing — everything else, though, was a total hit!
What really stood out was the kindness of the staff. They noticed a few small mistakes with our order and went out of their way to bring us some complimentary dishes — such a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more special.
Highly recommend for anyone craving high-quality hand rolls in a relaxed, stylish atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

This is an amazing concept! I could eat here all day, every day! The staff is amazing; they really know how to get you the flavors you are looking for. We started with a set menu and just toured the menu, each roll getting better each time. Literally had to “roll” me out. I feel the prices are great, wish we had more time to drink and hang out, but we just passed through as we charged. We would highly recommend it if you love fresh fish and unique flavors. Drop in when you have time so you can enjoy everything! Great job guys!

I recently discovered a new handroll bar that has opened in the heart of Glendale, at The Americana. The very open windows were enough to draw me in from the sidewalk. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted with a loud and welcoming chorus of greetings from the staff. Led by a kind and friendly host, I took a seat at the clean, marble-finished bar. Immediately, a server presented me with the menu and asked if I’d like a drink. Knowing I had to drive later, I opted for a non-alcoholic Asahi beer. My server graciously filled a chilled glass to the brim. The slightly early warm weather had taken its toll, and a sip of that cold beer was enough to whet my appetite. The menu was a clean, laminated single sheet, featuring a wide variety of options from appetizers to set menus, individual rolls, and special selections. Prices ranged from $4 to $24, which felt very reasonable, even in the current inflationary climate of California. I started with the Kanpachi Yuzu sashimi. Within a minute of ordering, the plate was delivered by the chef. ‘That was fast?’ I wondered. But as soon as I took a bite, my doubts turned to certainty. The firm texture of the Kanpachi, combined with the fresh, clean flavor of the yuzu sauce, was incredibly stimulating. The subtle hint of truffle added an extra layer of exquisite freshness. Next, I ordered the restaurant’s signature handroll, the Salmon Truffle. Uniquely, it was presented as an open-faced, U-shaped roll using half a sheet of nori. It was different from what I expected, but as soon as I took a bite of this unusual handroll, presented on a wooden holder, my heart began to race with joy. The magical texture that melted away in my mouth instantly made it clear why the restaurant is called ‘the bar-Handroll bar by seabutter’. Before the memory of that first handroll could fade, the second one arrived: the H.Y.E. I’m not sure what the initials stand for, but the chef kindly explained that it consisted of yellowtail belly, truffle, salt, sesame oil, and fresh wasabi, all perfectly balanced. This was also an open-faced, U-shaped handroll. Another bite, and my heart was racing again. It was simply breathtaking. I realized I might never be able to enjoy handrolls anywhere else again. It was that unique and captivating. Afterward, I tried some of the basic handrolls, which were also excellent. The crispy nori and warm rice were a perfect combination. With its modern interior, friendly staff, and delicious food, it was a truly memorable and heartwarming dining experience. Thank you all.

So Sea Butter is my favorite sushi spot, and I have a special love for The Bar Hand Rolls. With their new location opening, I had to check it out—and I’m happy to say the hand rolls were just as amazing as always!
The restaurant is right in the middle of The Americana, and the recent remodel makes the space feel super cute and modern. In a way, it even reminds me of the Apple Store with its sleek design. On top of that, the service was excellent—super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.
If you’re a fan of high-quality sushi, great service, and a stylish atmosphere, you should definitely give it a try!
