The owner was so welcoming with a big heart and a lovely smile. Coming from the beautiful island of Guam , we felt so at home ❤️ and this was everything for my family & I. The food is by far hands down the best fish X chips we have ever had since traveling up & down the coast. When on the coast, fish X chips is a must and this tops everything we have tried thus far. It took 2 bites for me to recognize that this was the best Fish n’ Chips I’ve ever tasted. Everything is fresh to order and made by hand, and it tastes like it. People in line after I received my food convinced me to try the Chicken n’ Waffles on my next trip and if its anything like the Fish n’ Chips I am certain it will please.
Also had the Chowder which was unbelievable, chock full with tender clams and crab and they serve proper Oyster crackers with it to boot!
Ate every last bit of my food and walked away with a huge smile on my face. Will certainly be back. Strongly, strongly recommend if you’ve never been!

Great food. Great people. Fresh Fish each week based on what is locally available at the dock in Newport, yum! Chicken and Waffle with Bacon Butter and syrup, yum! Rosemary French fries, yum!

Update 5/22: it’s been a year since my original post and these folks are still Great. Some places start to slip over time. Not these folks.
Update 8/25: so, wife and continue visiting and Squatchsami continues to be great. We visit a couple times a month.
Update 1/26: New Location on Hwy 101 in South Lincoln City…! Same great food, service and staff.

Amazing , fresh and must have! The environment is cool, the staff is warm and welcoming. My boyfriend and I decided to get chicken and Fish and split our meals which we do often for fun!
The fish melts in your mouth, the batter was amazing! Hands down the best I’ve ever had. They had a chicken cordon bleu sandwich, again probably the best chicken sandwich we’ve tasted. The Chicken was tender and the entire sandwich boasted with the perfect blends of flavor and left our pallets satisfied with perfection! The strawberry Lemonade is tasty as well!

We had best ever clam chowder and fish & rosemary fries at Squatchsami on Friday! Chowder was super rich & creamy. Breading on the cod was super light , airy, crispy & flavorful. Rosemary fries were to die for. Staff were super friendly & helpful. We ate at outside on a picnic table (as we had dogs with us). Staff brought out our drinks, food & checked on us several times.

Arguably the best fried fish I’ve had in as long as I can remember. We had the strawberry lemonade and special wild huckleberry lemonade, both amazing. The rosemary fries were equally as good, and even the tartar sauce was itself phenomenal. I loved the atmosphere and kind people working. I would recommend this place to anyone who is even vaguely within a hundred miles. 10/10

A trip to Lincoln City isn’t complete without Squatchsami. They have the BEST chowder on the coast. Their fish is always so fresh it melts in your mouth. Their chicken and waffles are truly a brunch treat – especially with the bacon butter!! The owners are extremely kind and go above and beyond. The rest of the staff are friendly and welcoming. This place is truly a gem!

First time here. Tried the chowder and fish sandwich. Both were amazing! The chowder was fresh and creamy loaded with chunks of clams. The fish sandwich was perfectly cooked and flaky white fish. The shoestring french fries were cooked crispy with a soft center. We’ll be back!

Service was really above and beyond, and the food was just delicious!! I got the fish sando and my partner got the fish and fries. Plus a lemonade and strawberry refresher type drink. I have a couple things to say specifically:
The rosemary fries were shoestring which of course means they were perfectly crispy and on top of that, the flavor of the rosemary was really really balanced. You know when places upcharge for a garlic truffle oil fry or whatever and you get it and you’re like oh it’s fine I can’t REALLY taste the difference – this is one of those times where you can and it’s DELICIOUS!!!
Malt vinegar with no request?? CLASSY
The crispiness of the fish was sublime, it’s exactly the type of breadiness and crunch you want on a fish sandwich. The serving was honestly decent too, like I know a lot of places will really put a whole giant fish on there and this does not do a giant giant fish on it, but they definitely don’t skimp you either. It’s enough and more for a meal imo, especially with the fries on top.
The butteriness of the ciabatta roll, the bite of the pickled red onions, the tartar sauce, the crisp fish, and the crunchy lettuce all comes together in a beautiful symphony of a sandwich in a way I haven’t had in a while. 10/10

Squatchsami Fish and Chips wasn’t here the last time we visited so we thought we’d give it a shot and glad we did! We ordered the fish and chips, a cup of clam chowder and the fish tacos. There are other fish and chip restaurants in town and they have their own spin on things but I do have to say that the three things that we ordered at Squatchsami was phenomenal! The next time we’re back in town we will definitely stop in maybe switch things up a little bit and try their chicken sandwich!
