Terry and the crew at Mammy’s are the best of the best at making you feel welcomed in a down-home atmosphere. The food is solid, homemade and the pies are out of this world, rivaling anything found in a 5 star restaurant. We couldn’t decide on one, so we ordered a variety! Mammy’s is a must-stop while in Natchez!

WHAT A GEM! We were visiting the area from Wisconsin and Mammy’s Cupboard was recommended by some locals. It is a definite MUST for the friendliest people we’ve ever met and the best homemade food! …don’t forget to order the pie!

Tori, Terry and Lisa made us feel right and home and treated us like family. Phenomenal service and food!

We had the best homemade chicken pot pie and seven layer salad, roast beef sandwich on homemade bread, pork loin with rice, beans and cornbread, banana caramel pie, lemon meringue pie, coconut cream pie and don’t forget their delicious blueberry lemonade!! We didn’t eat this all in one sitting, it was so delicious we went back the next day You should definitely stop here if you are in the area!

So you really need to check this place out! So what is better, the most excellent roast beef sandwich with a side of soup? Would it be the owner who comes around to greet and joke with each customer? Oh hell no! It’s the peanut butter pie! Okay it’s all three. It was one of the best experiences we’ve had yet.

Love this place! Not only is it a unique building but it’s a wonderful restaurant with delicious food. The atmosphere is very fun and the people who work there are so friendly. This was my first time visiting but I will definitely go back. I had the Saturday special which is red beans and rice, layered salad and Mexican cornbread. Very delicious, I cleaned my plate. For dessert I selected a slice of coconut meringue pie and it was very yummy with Mile high meringue. LOL Aside from the yummy food though the real delight is the blueberry lemonade. Do not go here without getting some of that because it was so refreshing and wonderful.

I had the Reuben sandwich with lemon meringue. The service was good, fast, friendly. The gentleman in there was telling us history about Natchez many people coming from different places. Even you have your locals coming in in all the time

Excellent stop before starting the Natchez Trace drive. They’re only open till two so plan for lunch. Our server, Lewis, I think, was full of information about the restaurant, the area, and local history. His daughter is also a server, and his wife cooks.
We had a sesame chicken salad sandwich and half a PBJ/ half a grilled cheese. All were served on thick sliced, fresh baked sourdough. All were delicious! Each plate came with homemade vegetable soup and either potato salad or house salad with homemade dressing. Again- delicious. We shared a dessert, scrumptious banana caramel pie and had blueberry lemonade which was very refreshing.
Not only was lunch tasted and quickly made but the stories and structure were epic!
Do yourself a favor and make this your number one lunch stop when visiting Natchez!

Paid $15.00 for the Wednesday special and it’s nothing on the plate. Not even enough for kids plate. This is robbery at its finest.
Do not recommend anyone to this place. We won’t be back for sure.

As a child I remember seeing Mammy’s Cupboard on Highway 61 and was fascinated by the huge woman design. Unfortunately we were always in a hurry and did not get to stop. To me this is a great piece of Americana from a period when people did not take everything so seriously. We were thrilled to find them open on a recent trip. The food is great and they offer half-portions of their huge sandwiches on request. The staff is super friendly and made our visit memorable.

Historic building wth amazing homemade food. The staff is wonderful, very friendly. You definetly needs to try the desserts The homemade pies and cakes are quite large so two people can each order a half piece of two different desserts. They were so good we took an order with us for our flight. Best part of our trip to Mississippi

Founded in 1940, this restaurant is in the shape of a 28-foot-tall woman of color with a hoop skirt that houses the gift shop and dining room. It is so named because of the woman of color character in the move “Gone With The Wind”. It has been remodeled and renovated several times and gone through many changes. It currently only serves lunch and desserts. The employees are quite friendly, the Reuben sandwich was good, as was the soup. The hummingbird cake (white cake with pineapples, bananas and nuts mixed in, cream cheese frosting, nut toppings) was fabulous. There is a surcharge on using a credit card to pay, though they do accept cash and checks. Inside was decorated for Halloween, and they had several gnomes. I am not sure I will be back. I had passed by in the past and not gone in. I don’t even know what to really think.
