Food is good though tastes drab. service is slow. Staff are not very friendly. You need to order at the counter. No cutleries are laid out on the table. You need to demand for anything starting from cutleries, pepper n salt, ketch up or napkins. Salad bar is there. Games consoles on payment available for kids. Ample parking space available. Personal touch is lacking and that is glaringly reflecting!

I’ve loved Straw Hat Pizza since they were at the old County East Mall. The owner supports local High School sports and I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the Mall location as a kid, to the old Delta Fair and Buchanan Road location, to the newest location have all been great. The service has always been amazing and the Hot Hat lunch deal is a great price. The place is a great size and a chill vibe. If you love pizza definitely give Straw Hat a visit. They have a great salad bar as well.

Such a shame, the girl working the front counter was not welcoming nor very friendly. Not a great fit for first impressions. If you hate your job, quit and find something you like. She’s the biggest reason I couldn’t give a 5 star review. The guys who helped throughout the rest of our visit were friendly and helpful. The food was good and good options on the salad bar. I will mention they wanted to charge me $0.92 for a plastic ramekin for the dressing for my salad, even though I paid over $10 for the salad….another knock to the stars…

The manager whoever he is! He is very rude to kids, pulls plates off kids hands. He even pushed my kids and myself in front of my kids. He yells and women and children. Just been here. One of the horrible experience

The first impression from the cashier is that we are not welcome. Pretty weir experience. I asked for a cup of ranch as opposed to the chunky ranch at the salad bar. I did order a salad with the meal so I assumed that this would be included. It was not in fact so I paid 2 bucks for 2 cups of ranch. When they brought it out I noticed it was the exact same chunky ranch in refillable cups. I dont get it.

Straw Hat pizza is a great place to eat, sports, or business meetings in their banquet room. Unlimited salad bar per paying customer orders. Lunch deals are the best – mini pizza (two topping) extra topping cost more, unlimited salad, and a fountain drink. The owner has a vendor trailer for a large event elsewhere. Come check it out. Watch sport if you want to.

We have been frequently visiting Straw Hat for over 20 years. The salad bar is my favorite place to get a salad. The food is always fresh and hot, the place is always clean and the customer service is top notch. I love the fact there is a gluten free crust option. Best pizza place in the East Bay!!
