Sound Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster and neighborhood café rooted in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, CT. We roast our own beans in small batches and serve thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks and seasonal coffee offerings every day. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, you’ll find fresh coffee and a welcoming space. Open daily 7am–4pm at 2889 Fairfield Ave. We also bring our coffee to events and businesses across Connecticut through our catering team.

Had a great time at Sound Coffee. The guava danish was divine! I loved the smoky baritone latte. The staff were so sweet and gave me the great recommendations. The cafe is decorated so nicely and I loved the music theme including the wall of vinyls and music themed drinks:) The energy and vibe of this place was peaceful and I would highly recommend stopping in!

If you want to enjoy a cup of wholesome coffee, read, hang out with friends or get some work done, this IS the right spot.
The staff, all of them, are above and beyond. The quality of food and beverages is the best. The atmosphere is cozy, light, although the space is not so big, but it feels amazing. And despite all the people talking and chatting, if you really have something that you need to focus on, you definitely can.
P.S. BEST MATCHA I’VE HAD IN A LOOOONG TIME!
Update: Not exaggerating, but this place has become an extension to my comfort safe zone.

The turkey sandwich here at Sound Coffee has officially become my go-to order! It’s absolutely delicious and very filling — the perfect mid-day meal. Stuffed generously with fresh turkey, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomato, every bite is satisfying without being too heavy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something both tasty and hearty!

The only true artisan coffee spot in the area. These guys take pride in the coffee they make. The team at sound coffee are like family to me at this point and having worked years in the hospitality industry. Their hard work and attention to detail do not go unnoticed. I am able to order my “usual” quickly through their app and it is always sitting there waiting for me when I come in. They have gone above and beyond more times than I can count. I highly recommend stopping in to try a coffee at least once. The best there is. 10/10

Oh my gosh… AMAZING!!!! Hanna made the best chai latte I’ve had in maybe my whole life. She and the other staff working there were so wonderfully sweet. The atmosphere was perfect for studying/working, meeting with a friend, or relaxing solo — very comfortable, cozy, and aesthetically pleasing. I got to talking for a while before I touched my caprese sandwich and it was still a 10/10 after sitting for an hour. Perfection!

Loved my visit to Sound Coffee! The customer service was top-notch—the barista was so friendly and welcoming. I got a regular latte and one with cinnamon syrup, and both were delicious—smooth, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness. Parking was super easy, which made the whole experience even better. The inside of the shop is adorable—cozy, stylish, and a great spot to relax or catch up with a friend. Definitely a favorite! Can’t wait to come back. ☕
