Reviews
The young woman who took our order and assisted during pick up was Solvia (probably not spelling that right) and she was very sweet. She made suggestions and shared that their Tzatziki Sauce was excellent. Well, you know me I love my sauces and dips so I was like I’ll take two for each order.
Pick up was a breeze and she graciously allowed me to take pictures and videos which, for me, is always a plus so I can accurately share the experience with y’all. I was excited to get home and crack the To-Go box open to see what was up with the food.
Let me tell y’all what!!! If you want a juicy, fresh and delicious Gyro it’s imperative that you get yourself over here immediately. I ordered the Chicken Gyro and my husband ordered the Traditional Gyro. It looked so good I almost forgot to get pictures. I couldn’t catch my “greedy man” fast enough and he was almost done with his when I tried to give his food a photo op. Maybe next time.
The Tzatziki sauce was and a perfect compliment to the sandwiches. My husband agreed. We both decided this was our first time visiting but it wouldn’t be our last.
The restaurant was clean and well maintained. They have a large TV to watch sports or whatever you’d like I suppose. There’s plenty of parking so that’s not a hassle at all. The prices are reasonable and I thought we got a great value for our money. Customer service was friendly, helpful and welcoming.
I might try something different next time but that Gyro was so good it’ll be a stretch to get out of my comfort zone. Hey, all I have left to say is if a Gyro is on your mind don’t waste time and get yo’self right on over here. You’ll be glad you did. I don’t steer you wrong. Until next time – ENJOY!
I loved Never On Sunday!!! I ordered a traditional Gyro on pita. It was my favorite in KC so far. 8/10.
It was served with my choice of side dish, and I selected a Greek salad. The salad was very simple, but utterly delicious and the dressing was perfect. It was also served on the side so I could control the amount.
The dolmades or grape leaves were extra extraordinary. I love it when they have that little acid or lemon taste. These did not, but were still exceptional. My wife will love them!
I can’t wait to come back here and try other things on the menu. Very excited about this place.
Best gyros I’ve found in K.C., especially at this $!
The only complaint we have is that when we go there, there is typically a smell that smells like someone backed up the toilet. Our visits were weeks apart, so not a one time thing. Recommend the food, wouldn’t sit in and eat.
1) Relatively cheap (~$7-$10 per person)
2) They have perfected the concept of golden French fries
3) Relatively nice menu variety (sandwiches to bowls to salads)
4) Not too crowded
5) Portion size relatively good
Cons:
1) No toilet paper in bathroom
2) Meat seemed a bit less flavorful than average gyro meat
3) Gyro meat was a bit tougher than average gyro meat
4) surrounding area feels somewhat sketchy (and not a place I’d want to be in late at night)
5) Table was sticky – doesn’t seem like they are regularly cleaned
Info:
1) They seem to have a heavy to-go presence – we were the only ones to dine-in out of a good 9 groups or so
