Welcome to Georgia Bob’s Barbecue Company! Where did it all begin? At the historical Peach Festivals of the 1920s! Thanks to the dedication and talents of special people like Robert Cherry Evans, (Georgia Bob’s grandfather who directed the famous cookings) barbecue was the key celebration at the festivals. We take pride in serving Georgia Bob’s original Brunswick Stew recipe (though slightly altered) and delicious barbecue introduced at the festivals to our customers today. 114 E Johnston St, Forsyth, GA 31029

It was so disappointing ordering food from this place, we went to the KOA Forsyth for the labour day weekend and decided to try different stuffs and foods, back in Atlanta where is home, we own a restaurant aswell and love to patronize our kind, we ordered a half rack of ribs which looked like it was boiled and we where expecting it to have a smoked taste and flavor, and it lacked seasoning aswell, my wife ordered coleslaw that was spoilt, it was slimy and did not smell good, my daughter ordered fries which I think was the only good thing we ordered for she had no complaints. And her mum also said the fries weren’t bad. Hope they step up to the game proper all the best.

Saw this quaint little place on our way out of town. The carolina bbq sandwich was pretty good. Loved the sweet potato tots. They were delicious! Bbq sauce is good, pretty simple flavors. May be back next time we are around here. Love the atmosphere and simple decorations.

Had to try to newest food spot in Forsyth! Staff was friendly and it didn’t take long for our takeout order. The beef brisket plate (includes two sides – bbq beans & fries ordered), and choice of bread (had garlic). The bbq beans were good. The fries had a special seasoning on them, and were also good. The beef brisket was tender and had good flavor; however it could’ve been improved with a side of BBQ sauce! The garlic bread was nothing to write home about – it was reminiscent of the frozen kind from the grocery store. All in all, decent meal for a fair price.

I’m visiting Georgia from Michigan and while staying at the nearby KOA, my mother and I were looking for someplace to get a quick bite. We pulled up to the drive-through at about 8:30 thinking they closed at 9. This very nice lady came out to our car (turned out to be the owner), and told us that they closed at 9 but would be happy to accommodate us with whatever they still had. I got the pulled pork plate with potato salad and baked beans and my mom got the half chicken plate with the same sides. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! And you could taste that it was authentic homemade. Good prices too! Not to mention, they threw in some free chicken salad and crackers:). I would recommend this place to anyone passing through or in the area, not far off the highway at all. Thank you Georgia Bob’s of Forsyth!

I must admit the customer service was great…..but the food I ordered was a badd representation of beef brisket and smoked turkey. My brisket was clearly boiled because I tasted no smoke flavor just as my turkey not to mention it tasted as if it where microwaved or cooked in a skillet. The Bar-B-Q sauce was so because the sweet version taste more like vinegar, also don’t call it banana puddin if you not gonna put bananas in it, also traditional southern macaroni&cheese has sharp or mild cheese in it not cheese sauce as I had. The best thing I ordered was the tea and baked beans….who ever made those beans did them some justice.
P.S I know good food when I see and taste it, this particular spot makes Georgia look badd when it comes to Bar-B-Q and I’ve had some of the best Bar-B-Q from Georgia, but first time for everything. This is just some constructive criticism from a guy who grew up in the kitchen most of my life.

Really good BBQ! Stopped in for late afternoon meal while traveling home from Nashville. The lady at the counter was very helpful and friendly ( wish I had gotten her name) It was her 1st day but she was helpful and seemed to know the menu well. She recommended the chicken salad, which was awesome…. had walnuts in it. We got a combo plate with ribs, pulled pork and the chicken salad. Everything was delicious. Would definitely stop again if in the area. Very reasonably priced too

Just good BBQ! Very good sandwich with high quality pork! It may be fresh ham or picnick. It was not butt.

This place was such a great fund! The prices are absolutely fantastic! Some things we tried and absolutely loved were pulled pork, brisket, and their fries. Some things that were amazing were the fried green beans and pimento cheese. We could not stop eating! Anna M. was so sweet and accommodating. I’m positive anytime we are traveling we will have to find our way back here!

Met my family there today for Birthday lunch. They are from Perry and we’re from Hampton. We all agreed it was a great choice. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile from the young lady at the register taking our order. She had a great personality and made us feel right at home. We should have known from the good sized lunch crowd that we were in for a treat. The ribs were the most tender and I’ve had in a long time. Love the sweet BBQ sauce! Spicy was good, too! The chopped pork was delicious as was the chicken salad and Mac and cheese. Fries were a little salty. Overall, really good experience. Someone has a good thing going at Georgia Bob’s in Forsyth, Ga.!

Georgia Bob’s is a great locally owned and operated restaurant. They may have the best chicken salad I have ever had! This is a great place to have lunch, but it also my go to when I need to order BBQ for entertaining people. Keep up the good work!
