happy hour daily at the bar 5-6pm
great somm! has open wines by the glass that aren’t listed – def ask for his rec!
would skip the expensive basque cake (not cheesecake)
The service made things worse. Nobody cared that we were here for a birthday, and our server didn’t introduce the menu or seem to know it well. When I asked if there were any fish dishes, she told me no, then after I pointed out the seabass on the menu, she admitted it was a fish entrée. That was confusing and careless.
After the meal, we sat with empty plates for 15 minutes before the server finally returned–simply to ask if we wanted to order dessert. We had already told the host at the door that it was a birthday, but the server never mentioned it once. Then when I asked about a birthday dessert did she suddenly say the kitchen had one ready, which felt inconsistent and insincere.
Even the host was randomly serving food, which just made the whole place feel unorganized and unprofessional.
The environment didn’t help either. There were flies buzzing around while we ate, which made the place feel cheap.
Bland food, High prices.
Not recommended. Definitely not worth the time or money.
The Gambas al Ajillo was simply divine. The buttery sauce, perfectly infused with seasoning, was beyond delicious and utterly irresistible. I could have happily eaten that dish all night! Brooke
What we ordered:
Pan Tomate with Jamón Ibérico
The ham was really good quality and had great flavor, but it was kinda hard to bite through cleanly. I ended up getting more bread and using my hands to sort of break the ham and put it back on the toast. Not a big deal but it made it feel a little awkward to eat.
Gambas al Ajillo
Classic garlic shrimp, really good. The oil had flavor, the shrimp were fresh, and it had a little kick from the chile. Definitely needed bread to dip in the sauce so I’m glad we had some.
Pulpo con Alubias
This one was the favorite. The octopus was perfectly grilled and the beans made it feel a little more filling without being too heavy. Would 100% get again.
Bread & Butter
Big warm loaf with soft butter. Sounds simple but it hit, especially with the shrimp oil. Could’ve been better with salted butter but still solid.
Basque Cake
Honestly, I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did. Creamy with that cherry on top vibe and the vanilla ice cream made it even better. If you’re doing dessert, this one’s a good call.
East India Solera Sherry
Very sweet, almost syrupy. If you’re into dessert wines, it’s a strong choice. Not for everyone, but worth trying once.

Overall:
Vibe was chill, food came out at a good pace, and the pulpo and shrimp combo was the move. Not the kind of place where you leave super full unless you order a lot but it felt like a nice little treat night. Would go back but maybe try different things next time.
Kimmie was our server & she honestly made dinner an experience rather than just a meal.
She recommended the best wine, & a bubbly to go with my dessert, never felt like I was consuming too much sugar, the pairings were perfect & light.
Octopus app is a must. FRESH & FLAVORFUL.
Spicy Garlic Shrimp with a recommended side of bread for dipping. I’m still thinking about it.
Believe it or not, the side salad for $5 was one of our favorites, we ordered one to split & then got two more as part of our main meal.
The ham croquettes – TASTY & perfectly executed, nice little comfort crunch. Salty & cheesy but not too heavy.
Stacked potato entree was everything you want in a potato and then some.
Mushroom app – would have ordered a second if I wasn’t full. Again everything you want to see in a mushroom offering, savory, herbaceous, meaty.
We didn’t even make it to entrees but we did do dessert, Basque Cake – wish I took a second one home for later.
We are driving to another restaurant now sadly, but I didn’t want to go back to Valentina within the first week, I want to miss it a little more, but rest assured we are coming back a couple times a month & always asking for Kimmie.
