On vacation out here in beautiful greenville and was craving some pizza. Did a quick google search and found this little gem to be the only pizza place for about 100 miles!. As a Rhode Island native, let me tell you, this pizza was one of the best I have ever had. The crust is incredibly delicious and unique. The CBR was absolutely incredible and not like any pie I have ever had. Going back to try the famous Dagwoods today before I head back to Rhode Island. We were also pleasantly surprised that inside is also like a little store and they also sell alcohol and sweet treats!

We ordered the pizza twice from them. It’s very good, hot, good toppings. then we got lunch one day, steak sandwiches one day. We didn’t really care for those who though. They were a little bland and a little too expensive, but hot and good sub bread used, but they were decent enough to eat for lunch and fix them up a little. It’s the only pizza place in town and they close at 7:00 p.m. and they usually stop taking orders before that.

Low key counter serve pizza and sandwich stop. We enjoyed the pizza and a Dagwood (sort of like a sub in a pita). Both were excellent! There are a few tables out front if you want to sit and eat.

Best pizza in the world! Honestly! However, we drove all the way down from Quebec City for this, and an hour and a half before closing, they stopped taking orders. Very disappointed, especially since it was still open…

There is nothing greater than to be served a sandwich so fresh, that the bread is still warm from the oven. The ingredients are of superior quality as well.
The staff are very friendly and speak of how this business has now been operated by the same family for several generations.
I recommend “The Dagwood”.
Truly, a pleasant experience overall.

Bought 2 small pizzas to go. Pd $40.00. The all meat was burnt. The combo was ordered NO onions. It came with onions galore! I’m allergic to onions not deadly but painful. Not impressed.

Ordered a gluten free and regular pizzas. Both were a little greasy but otherwise fine. Little overpriced imo.

Pretty annoying experience. Jamos closes at eight, my wife and I stopped in to place an order at 7:20 and they said they wouldn’t make our pizza this close to closing time. 40 minutes is too close to closing time for a pizza shop. It’s not our first time ordering pizza. There was no one there! We would have spent $80+ on five pizzas too.
** After reading a self-righteous response from the owner I’ll say this review is not “bogus,” it was my experience and I stand behind it. It’s also good information for the public to know that they might not be getting pizza at the only pizza place in town, even if it’s well within normal business hours. I’ve worked in kitchens before, I know it’s hard work. Try not to take the criticism personally.

Pizza was one of the best we ever had (and this is coming from someone who grew up in NJ). We did not have high hopes for a little takeout pizza shop in this small town in Maine, but I am SO glad we tried them out. It was incredible pizza that can easily rival NY/NJ pizza.
