Went this place to celebrate end of the year/new year. Atmosphere was fabulous and all staffs were very attentive. Loved their appetizers such as seeded Parker house, caviar, and beet salad(it was in perfection). Though, was not impressed by main entree. Ordered pork chop and bass and pork chop was too salty for my taste. Bass fish was better. Maybe next time I will try their wellington. I tried Lavender Riot Spritz and it was well made. Overall, I would give an another try for different entree in the future.

The agnolotti and the linguine were absolutely delicious, much more than I had expected and surprisingly one of the better pasta dishes I’ve had in the city. Service was very attentive and helpful. It’s a beautiful space in the middle of the West Village, with indoor and outdoor seating for parties of all sizea. You really cannot go wrong with this spot.

The Noortwyck is the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell too many people about—because it’s that good. Tucked into the West Village, it somehow manages to offer a spacious dining room (a luxury in NYC), but we chose to sit at the bar, and we’re glad we did.
Service was fantastic—warm, attentive, and unpretentious. The bartender was a standout: friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the craft coming out of the kitchen.
We started with the oyster appetizer, which was fresh and perfectly balanced—simple, elegant, and a great start. The rest of the menu was eclectic without trying too hard. Every dish felt purposeful and well-executed, with flavors that were refined but not fussy.
This is one of those rare spots where everything just works. Go here with confidence—it lives up to the hype and then some.

This is such a great place in the WV, honestly sometimes it feels so hard to find a place that isn’t geared to tourists or sort of a bland palette. This restaurant is way more chic and interesting that most of the restaurants in the area while also serving approachable food. This will be my new go-to when I have something to do in the neighborhood. Not to mention the service was really great and the vibe of the space is just right. I must say it sometimes is lame to order the bread and butter but it is really spectacular!

Spent a wonderful Sunday night date here, excellent food and wonderfully creative & quaint menu.
Service was very good and food was prepared excellently would’ve preferred portions 10 to 15% larger. Otherwise no complaints would return.

This place blew me away. The chicken liver was TO DIE FOR + the bread served with it was insane. Going back just for this. The roasted chicken and bass were also so so amazing.

Vibe is ok but food is total garbage and overpriced. I think there are 10 better restaurants in this block alone. No wonder it’s easy to get reservations – don’t.
Worst meal we’ve had in a long time and such a waste of money and time. So sad.

Noortwyk is somewhere I keep coming back to! I’ve been with friends, with my entire team, on a date, for dinner and for brunch. It’s one of my fav spots in the west village and one that you can usually get a reservation at relatively last minute – a HUGE plus!!
For brunch I enjoyed their breakfast sandwich and cinnamon roll – ileene cho is their pastry chef who is amazing!!
For dinner I love the kale salad, bucatini, bbq duck and their parker house seeded roll with cultured butter (so good we always end up ordering two!).
I used to love their original Mille Feuille but have been disappointed by their 2.0 version which they’ve ‘deconstructed’. This no longer feels like a premium dessert/Mille Feuille but instead more a random pieces of puff pastry on top of some bananas and cream. Please bring back 1.0!! 🙂
Service I find is a little inconsistent – first few times I went service was very attentive, welcoming and helpful but on my most recent trip it was less so.

One of the most underrated restaurants. The food is excellent, elevated but not too fancy. And the service is also so good. We went for our anniversary and they made it feel special. I eat out a lot, at quite nice or popular restaurants, and when I take people here, they are always surprised they have never heard of it because it’s some of them best food and service around. I don’t know why they don’t get more press. Highly recommend, for every occasion.

Perfect neighborhood spot. Chicken liver pate was so smooth and pairs well with pickled cherries. The glaze on the pork chop was so delicious my husband kept scraping it into his mouth from the empty plate
