A charming place along the busy streets of Ballard serving delicious French cuisine. There’s an outdoor section that has a chilled vibe with strings of lights and a blazing hearth. The drinks are rather unique and the food is good though I was expecting something more spectacular. I had the clams with French fries and truffles dip. The truffles dip was delicious. However, the table favorite has to be the duck confit, tender and packed with flavors.

Beautiful French restaurant with an amazing bar. One of the coziest places in Ballard with excellent food and drinks. Nice outdoor seating as well with fireplaces and heaters. Engaged staff with fantastic service.

If you’re looking for a good place with reasonable prices, I recommend Bastille Cafe and Bar.
It’s got a upper class feel with out breaking the wallet. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio that was covered with a beautiful little fireplace nearby.
I had a lamb burger and my wife ordered the gyro falafel and they were quite delicious.
If you arrive between 4 and 6 you get the happy hour menu.
The service is really good as well.

Excellent craft cocktails. The back bar is the spot to go. The bartender was quite knowledgeable and was able to suggest off menu drinks that he thought I’d like… And indeed I did. Excellent atmosphere… Nice and dark and cozy

The lamb burger is awesome. Very juicy with the right amount of aoli to complement the taste of the meat. Served on a brioche style bun.

The calamari was interesting. It came in a tomato based sauce. Good flavors but not quite my thing.

The Bánh mì was solid but I’ve had much better that are much cheaper.

The fries are the tasty skin on style. Not hand cut though.

Lovely restaurant with a bar in the back (see: ‘back bar’). Excellent, friendly service. Not the greatest selection of beers, but a good selection of wine. Only real complaint is beer pricing. Beer prices were so high that you could impress a date just by not choking when they brought you the bar tab. $8-10. For. A. Beer. If you were to start drinking one of these beers at the exact moment the Greek debt crisis began, the Greeks would make fun of you for not investing in their rapidly declining market instead.

After visiting the Ballard farmer’s market we were welcomed with a patio table (we had a reservation). The food was delicious, as were the drinks. Trfy the Liberté , so refreshing on a hot day.

Love the croque madame, my friend got the lamb belly, which is also very tasty. Only problem is the sale and the lamb belly feels a bit too salty. The drip coffee is great. Outdoor seating is relaxing and in a sunny day there are a lot of sunshine comes in. Definitely recommend on a Sunday morning so you can enjoy the farmers market a bit after. Which they put less salt into the dishes 😛

Bastille is a French restaurant along the busy Stone road through Ballard, surrounded by a bunch of bars and local shops. There is a lot of seating, but they get very busy very quick. Prices are a little higher than normal, but they offer lots of delicacies and have pretty good pours on drinks.

Bastille is an excellent French Bistro. Their brunch is always satisfying and reasonably priced, and their cocktails are superb! The duck confit is sublime, as is the croque madame. They do French comfort food very well.

I would rate this restaurant more for the ambience and convenience, than the food. The falafels were nice, but I felt they were overpriced. The eggs benedict we ordered had a piece of lamb meat, which was inedible raw. But, on the other side – the french toast was nice, side of crispy potatoes are a must have! Wait times are relatively low. Service is good. Outdoors are heated as well!
