Great place to eat or to just stop in for a cocktail. Bartenders and servers are friendly. Noah is a great guy who cares about his employees as well as his clientele. He has made many improvements the restaurant. The menu has something for everyone. If you love it keep going. If you haven’t tried it… do it soon. You won’t be disappointed!!

The last 3x we’ve been to Old Mill has been on Trivia Night. Not only is that always a blast and something fun to do with the family and friends, but the food is always great! Even with a packed house, it comes out quick, hot and delish every time. Definitely recommend the wings (literally any kind ) and my son loves the MASSIVE Mill Burger. Be sure to stop in if you’re visiting Alfred, Hornell or anywhere in the area!

Extremely fun laid-back environment. We happen to be there on trivia night and it was a madhouse, but that did not affect the quality of food nor the quality of service . The first time I went to the Old Mill and met Noah it was to discuss my mom’s surprise 80th birthday party. He was very thorough and helpful with helping us with our menu and staying within our budget. The party was a success and we got raves on the food provided. Noah kept checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly.

I’ve never had a bad meal at the Old Mill! Their food, drinks, and service are great. A real hometown kind of place. They are friendly, great vibe, great sense of humor. Try the macaroni & cheese pizza! In fact, writing this is making me want to go there right now! See you there.

One of my favorite places to grab a drink, get some wings and play Quick Draw. The bar is great, and they have lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Kids also love the free arcade upstairs! All the food is solid, but I love the wings.

It’s been a few days since we’ve been to The Old Mill Inn, and I’m still thinking about the wings. They were excellent! The menu had a great variety of food and the restaurant itself has cool, what we call “I Spy” items on the wall and on shelves. There’s also a pool table and arcade upstairs. With Alfred State and University close by, The Old Mill Inn is definitely a great place to eat.

I was expecting more from this spot. Looks cool, Cozy, and upscale when you enter. However, the service is just awful. Waited forever for a table at time when there was plenty of seating? The host said we could said but the waitress would be a while. I’ve never heard of such a thing either we can or can’t be served. The excuse was they were slammed by events but the restaurant was not full. They just need more or better kitchen staff and prep. The waitress was in a bad mood and pretty sour. Food was barely okay. Everyone’s French fries were cold. Fine for drinks but dodge the food. Also no draft beer? Weird…

Beyond disappointed…. 4 of us had to wait 20+ minutes after being sat just to order food. Finally after ordering we waited almost an hour to get served. No one wanted to tell us the kitchen was behind. No one wanted to tell us some of the things we ordered were not available. No communication. No checking in on us as we waited. Then, after an hour we get served cold food that appeared rather thrown together. Sandwiches were cold as well as the fries. The wings were hot but lacked any flavor. This place has 4.7 stars so we chose it based on that alone. What a sad night for food and experience. Not really sure how they have the Google rating they have. Hope it’s not so sad for others. We will not return in the future

Mediocre AT BEST. The “cook” shows little regard for customer requests and doesn’t care about the quality of his food served. Plating is sloppy. Keep in mind, this is all simple pub and not difficult to make! The first half a dozen visits i ordered wings, which are jumbo, straight from the menu, and they were always under cooked, one time so badly. I sent them back. One would think this impossible, as they precook them. Afterward, I have ordered wings extra crispy, xx-crispy, and xxx-crispy. They were mostly cooked inside, but still not crispy enough, except for the xxx, which were like jerky. They also do a poor job at skimming the fryers before cooking the wings, as there are always bits and pieces of grease soaked fries mixed in. They also just dump the sauced wings on the plate extra pool of sauce included at No charge, which is unbelievable, as the only give 1 blue cheese free, even when you order a double or triple order of wings, but will happily add more, without asking, for $.75 a piece. They also do the same with their salad dressing, even if you order a large, “dinner sized,” and not side salad. On the salads, there is ALWAYS rotten lettuce included, free of charge. Burgers are almost always not the correct doneness, over or under, almost like they don’t own an instant read thermometer. The pizza is almost always decent.
