We just had an amazing dinner here! The margaritas were the best we’ve had in the city, and the food tasted so fresh and delicious. They have a great selection of salsas with a variety of spice levels. I haven’t been here in years and this place is just as good as I remember it. The owners greeted us with such warmth and kindness. We can’t wait to be back!

Very positive vibes. It feels like you’re in someone’s home, because you are. It’s a true family restaurant. The pico de gallo is amazing. I want a five gallon bucket of it. I’ll take a five gallon bucket of the delicious margaritas too. Their margaritas are the best in the city. Be careful though, they sneak up on you. Thank goodness I wasn’t driving! I will see you all again soon!

Greatest spot! Awesome food, best margaritas in town (fresh made!) and absolutely incredible customer service. Free house-made salsa buffet with your chips can’t be beat!

Great restaurant on S. Kingshighway. Mom, Dad and Son family business. You go up to the window to order food. We started with margaritas and queso. We tried the margaritas with grand marnier and it was smooth and very enjoyable. Salvador, the father, is the bartender and cashier. Salvador is very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered from the son who pointed out his favorites on the menu. He said they’ve been in business 24 years, 21 years at their current location. The son said his Mom is the chef. After you order you receive a tray with tortilla chips and small containers for salsa. They have a small bar with three salsas from mild to spicy. The queso seems homemade and not from a jar. It has a cheesier taste and consistency which we liked. I got the steak fajitas and they were good. The meat needs more seasoning. Most of the meat pieces were tender. I really like the grilled bell peppers. There’s no parking lot but it was easy to find street parking near the restaurant.

Me and my wife felt like some good Mexican food and so we decided to give Lily’s Mexican Restaurant a try…WE LOVED IT!!!
Real home cooked Mexican food with a family that were so very welcoming and fun!
The food was amazing and the the service was fantastic! It has a real homely feel about the place and we will be returning to try more things from their menu. I had the chicken fajitas and my wife had the chicken tacos.
If you like down to earth and real food made with passion then this is a must!
Very clean and sanitary as well!

Great atmosphere, food, and service. The owner, Sal, came to the table several times throughout our meal to check in on us, made us laugh, ensured we had everything we needed and was super friendly and personable as if we were long time friends (this was my first time here). Ordering was smooth, you just go to the counter and tell them what you’d like, they give you a table number, and bring the food/drinks out when it’s ready. Food arrived quickly and staff were attentive and kind. Really generous portions and delicious! I ordered the chicken sope and a Lily’s Margarita – so good! Paying was also easy, just let them know when you’re ready, they give you a ticket to take to the payment area, the owner himself rang me up! Highly recommend!

The pico de Gallo had great balance of flavors with just right amount of jalapeños. It has was insanely good. The salsa bar was excellent, not overpowering in terms of heat. But the freshness was notable. The chips were thick and a little chewy. It is ashame that they do not have a patio. This would be the perfect ingredients for day drinking!
I really like this south city Mexican restaurant. The tacos are very good. Get the carnitas tacos. Got a selection off the menu. All were good the carnitas blew me away.
The beans were great! The Mexican rice was ok. Truthfully I am not a rice fan. This was acceptable.
It is veteran owned, something I like to see in the places that I patronize. This is a winner!
