I have tried all of the mexican places in paducah and none of them hold a torch to hugos. The salsa was perfectly mild. The cheese was on point. Chicken and cheese perfect and then the carnitas had such a strong flavor. To top it off arguably the b3st tea in town. Going to make this a weekly place!

Would have been all 5 stars but the atmosphere wasn’t as welcoming… could have been the time or that no music was playing in the background, but I seriously couldn’t ignore it because the food was amazing! Margaritas for $3 and I tried a new dish, Juanita special which I loved! I have ordered carry out before and was just as pleased. Great people running it, and I hope they do well.

The food here is REALLY good and the hot sauce they have is SO good. There are $3 margaritas during the week which is a plus. The food portions are pretty large and the drinks are strong! Most of the staff is very friendly, I’ve only encountered one individual who is not pleasant. Definitely would recommend this place for a happy hour.

Hugo’s Mexican restaurant was a surprising find. It fulfills all of my criteria for a good restaurant, which is why I give it five stars.
It’s clean, the bathroom (the men’s bathroom at least) is elegant, and the two people who waited on me were kind, pleasant, and respectful. The food was delicious and the price is right.

Good place for good Mexican food at a low price. The Sopapilla Con Ice Cream is a great way to end any meal. Update: The Hugo’s Special Quesadilla and Quesabirria are recommended dishes here.

100% my favorite Mexican restaurant in Paducah. The quality of ingredients is top notch. The only place in Paducah that doesn’t shred their chicken, which leaves it super dry. They also include large chunks of fresh vegetables. I eat here at least once a week. The owner of the restaurant, Hugo, walks around and checks on how everything is. Just the best!
