7 Peaks Restaurant and Bar: A vibrant spot with scenic vibes, solid dishes, and friendly service.
Badel Sadeko: Bold flavors and rustic charm, though portions could be bigger.
Sukuti: Smoky, tender, and deeply Nepalese—perfect for a quick, hearty bite.
Chowmin: Quick, comforting noodles with decent wok-tossed goodness and value.

Been to this local restaurant bar for about a year now and they m finally posting my review.
It is a Nepalese restaurant that offers traditional cuisine and also has a separate kitchen serving a Mississippi style cat fish. The food is really good all around. Try their MOMOS
It is family owned. The cook /owner is the father and the bartender is the son. Highly recommend this place for dining in or just stopping by to have a beer or a cocktail. They also do catering.

good service food really I recently visited 7 Peaks Restaurant & Bar, and the food was amazing! The momo was fresh, juicy, and full of flavor — just like back home in Nepal. The chow mein was perfectly cooked, not too oily, with great spices and vegetables.

The restaurant is very clean, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxing. They also have a bar and plenty of parking, which is a big plus.

If you love Nepali or Indian food, this is one of the best places in the Bay Area. Highly recommend trying the chili momo, chicken sekua, and Nepali thali!

New restaurant in the neighborhood with both Nepalese and western food. I love how they also have full bar and can dine at the bar as well. Good service, good food.

To start, Rochelle our server was fantastic! Very friendly and helpful. A delight so keep up the good work!

Now to the part that I hate to have to write… I love trying little hole in the wall type restaurants so that I can try something new and different. Nepali cuisine tickles tastebuds and when I saw Wild Boar on the menu, it was over!! I ordered and was really looking forward to trying something new.

So… The food gets served and man, talk about depressing. First the portion was tiny for something costing upwards of $17. I’d be generous if there was 12oz. of food on that plate. It was basically “boar”, with onions and a flair of cilantro(?).

Trying to keep an open mind I pop the first piece of meat in my mouth and good grief!! Tough as nails, impossible to chew, basically hard dry jerky, Also zero sides, no salad or vegetables, just boot leather (color and texture) meat. Did I mention it was cold? Not heat lamp luke warm, just sat on the counter for 10mins cold.

So… I swapped it for a hamburger. This was a standard Costco sirloin patty, std. bun, lettuce, tomato, onion. Pepper jack cheese was the upgrade, thankfully, this was served hot.

Now I hate to bring up hygiene but at one point the cook walked past us and his BO followed close BEHIND and left an impression… C’mon man, it’s a damn restaurant!!! C’MON MAN!!!

Now… I just don’t get it… In this era of cooking shows, competitions, books, podcasts and celebrities. This world where Gordon Ramsey is EVERYWHERE, how, how, HOW can you not put in some effort!! How can the Owner / Manager allow this?? It was a Friday night, the bar had about nine people at it while the restaurant had the two of us and one other diner. On a Friday night!!!! How do you even stay in business??

Listen, I hope ownership takes note and immediately does something to up their food game. I want them to succeed but if this is the best they can do… Just shut it down.

Sad diner, signing off.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food smelled bad and tasted spoiled, which is completely unacceptable. As a business serving food to customers, quality and safety should be a top priority. Selling food that seems rotten raises serious concerns, and I genuinely feel the health department should look into this. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

Very disgusting and awful experience we went to this restaurant yesterday night and we ordered cocktail, drinks and so much food and I found big fly in my drink I drank more than half of my drink and saw the huge fly at the end I did vomiting
I came home I am sensitive person in the case of food hygiene and the manager or worker I don’t know who is he he didn’t even apologize or say sorry for that he was acting like getting fly in food or drinks is normal it’s not a big deal

If you’re craving real Nepali flavor, this place is hands down the best in the Bay Area! Every dish feels like a warm reminder of home. The wild boar cooked in true Nepali style is packed with rich, earthy spices – just like we get back in the hills. The Chowin is perfectly seasoned with that smoky, street-style wok flavor that’s impossible to find anywhere else.

And let’s talk about the momos – absolutely amazing! Juicy fillets, full of flavor, wrapped in soft dough and served with authentic achar. You won’t find better momos anywhere around.

Every bite took me straight back to Nepal. If you’re Nepali or just someone looking to experience real Himalayan cuisine, this is the spot. Highly recommend it!

Full bar, a good beer selection, and a great atmosphere. There are tables/booths if you want to hang out with your own crowd, or bar seating if you’d like to be social.

The bartender and owner are great and will provide conversation if there’s not a crowd, but most of the time there are plenty of interesting people at the bar.

If you’re looking for a place to hang out and watch the game, there are several TVs tuned to sports and plenty of great appetizers and drinks.

But what really stands out about 7 Peaks is the food. Here in the Bay area there’s a lot of diversity in restaurants and all types of different food are available. I thought I’d already tried most of it, but 7 Peaks is still surprising me. So far I’ve had five Nepalese dishes that are completely different than anything else I’ve had before, and I haven’t even worked my way all the way through the menu yet.

If you want to bring someone who’s a little bit less adventurous, you’re in luck. They still have the menu from the restaurant’s previous incarnation, Up and Under Second Pitch, which I would describe as comfort food.

I’m very happy to have this new addition to the neighborhood. If you live in El sobrante, or nearby in San Pablo or Richmond, you should definitely give this restaurant a try.
