I tried puri tarkari and samosa chaat. Puri tarkari was just fine, but samosa chaat wasn’t good. The presence of raw tomato in samosa chaat made it bad for my taste. The dishes were not super clean, but good thing is you don’t need to tip. However, overall impression was pretty bad for me. Actually, I visited the grocery store (Desi plaza) for some goods, I saw Desi bites just beside the grocery store and decided to try some food.

I had placed an order for paneer hakka noodles which the description shows as chilli paneer + hakka noodles and im attaching the picture that is in the order description. I just received one plain paneer hakka noodles and when I called and enquired, the person who spoke was so rude and told it was a combo and you did not place the combo order. The picture and description is so deceiving and I paid 29$ for this one order. This is horrible ever. Im attaching 2 pictures, one what is shown in the order description and the one what I received.

This is inside Indian store and very hard to find from outside. It’s a small self service eatery. The prices are affordable but the quality was not up to the standards. I ordered Mysuru Masala Dosa and the filter coffee, it was not good. The instant coffe was served as filter coffee. The masala puri was very bad. There was hardly any mint and tamarind chutney in it and the puris were hardly crushed but it had so much of chickpeas in it. I had throw it . We also ordered the veg biryani and then the store cashier comes to our table and says we don’t have veg biryani, do you want to replace it with something else or need money back? I ordered the fried rice for next day afternoon lunch in the office. The vegetables used in the fried rice were spoiled and smelling badly. I had to throw the vegetables and eat the rice. There were no sides given to the fried rice. It had only bell peppers, carrots and the onions. It was waste of money. Due to the customer orders, they are ending up giving this kind of bad food. They need to slow down to provide better food for the customers.

I have ordered three items here.

Vegetable uttapam batter is stale and the uttapam is not boiled properly.

Fried rice doesn’t have any flavour in it. Just bland and doesn’t have any taste.

Prav baaji is not good at all. The bread is very dry. Not tossed in oil/butter.

Very chaotic and the atmosphere is not very good.

Once, this place is a go to place for south indian food and irani tea. But now, the quality has come down. Irani tea is still good.

Yesterday, I visited this restaurant and ordered two biryanis — DB Special Chicken Biryani and Dum Biryani. The taste was actually good, and the flavors were enjoyable. However, the amount of oil was excessive — so much that it honestly felt like I could cook another curry just from the oil in the biryani. While the taste was on point, the heavy oil made the dish feel greasy and overwhelming. Reducing the oil would significantly improve the overall quality and make the biryani much more enjoyable.

I ordered mutton biryani for takeout, and upon checking, it was clear that the biryani was burnt, full of masala residue, and seemed like leftover food from the previous day. When I called the restaurant to report the issue, they kept arguing that it was fresh and not from yesterday. Eventually, they compensated with a new mutton biryani, which looked and tasted much better. You can clearly see the difference in the attached photos.

Additionally, the front desk girl was extremely rude, showing attitude as if it wasn’t their mistake, and they didn’t even offer an apology. This is the second time this has happened to me. A word of advice to customers: if you’re picking up food early in the day (between 12-3 PM, soon after the restaurant opens), there’s a high chance you might receive leftover food from the previous day.

Hope they improve their quality and service!

A decent place next to an Indian grocery store. Then have most of the regular items and there is a chat stall outside. The food was decent nothing out of the ordinary. My fried chicken Biryani was a tad bit burned. The chai was very good. The place is ok clean and the service was minimal to non existent.

This is the third time you have cancelled my Uber Eats order without any explanation. Do you realize how much inconvenience you create? Or is it just a casual practice for you. Can give you exact details but this is just terrible.

Ordered tandoor chicken full but it was really bad, small pieces and old chicken not cooked properly. Chicken curry was too good. Loved it.
