Three words…. Out freakin standing!!!
I found this lil gem on a local group I follow on Facebook called Long Beach Food Scene.
As soon as it was posted I saw the tasty looking photos and knew I had to try immediately. Like that day!! I unfortunately couldn’t make it that day, but I honestly couldn’t forget about it. Today hubby and I were hungry so I sprung it on him and off we went. We quickly found parking on Ocean Blvd. We walked down 62nd Place and there it was. So cute and inviting. They have a heated patio in the back. We took a seat and felt super comfy with the heaters. Nancy (owner) brought us menus, two glasses of ice, and a bottle of chilled water in a bottle. I’ve always been a fan of having water on the table guest can refill when needed. They have a great coffee menu and since it’s chilly out I quickly ordered a Dirty Chai and hubby ordered a mocha late. They came out within a few minutes and both were oh so yummy. With the coffee and heaters we seriously felt snug as a bug in a rug! We both ordered soups to start. I had the fideo and hubby had the albondigas. The fideo has a creamy texture and I enjoyed it very much. Hubby also enjoyed his. For our main I ordered the enchiladas plate which comes with two enchiladas rice and beans. I chose chicken enchiladas, one with mole sauce and sour cream and one with red sauce and sour cream. Hubby ordered Burro plate with a huge carne asada burrito with his choice of red sauce. I am so happy they’re here. While sipping our coffee and chomping on our complimentary chips with 3 different FANTASTIC salsas we already told each other how we’re going to def be coming here on a regular basis. We both love Mexican food and I joke that I’m a total salsa connoisseur. YOU’VE SERIOUSLY GOTTA TRY THEIR SALSAS AND COFFEE! The salsa verde was the best I’ve had in town! Needless to say we brought home some of our soup and plates but I gotta tell you my mouth is already watering thinking of the entrees. The red sauce is just so yummy and the mole is divine! Even the tortillas had so much flavor. I’m super excited for their new start and for our Long Beach foodies! They will have their alcohol license by next week. Once they do they’re gonna be one of the newest hot spots in town. There’s a part of me that almost feels selfish to not post and keep them all to ourselves… haha, but jokes aside I have no doubt that all of Long Beach’s residents will be SO STOKED to fill their tummies with Andrade’s Cafe! I’d also love to thanks Nancy, her husband Jorge whom served us, and the talented kitchen staff for such an impeccable meal! Can’t wait to come back! Salud! And welcome to the LBC! ❤️
They did sign up for one of the delivery services, but I forgot which.
Lastly we spoke to Nancy for a bit and found out they have vegan and vegetarian dishes as well. There’s a small section on the menu, but she told us that all guest can just let them know what they’d like and are able to create their own delicious entree, bowl, or burrito as well. She mentioned they have a lentil dish, potato tacos, squash, and plenty of other veggies. They also have a vegi burger! — at Andrade’s Cafe by the Bay.
We had the Birria Tacos, Fish Tacos and the affogato for dessert.
We’ll be back to try the pazoles.
Stop by and check out Andrade’s. You won’t be disappointed!
