The French Onion soup was the worst I’ve had. The broth was brown water, zero flavor other then way to much oregano seasoning. The onions were over cooked and soggy. Literally was oregano water.

The restaurant serves excellent food and has standout service to boot. Valentin, our server, came by a few times to check that everything was ok. It has an extensive menu that runs to a few pages. My recommendation if you are there for lunch is to go with the lunch specials. They are value for money, and the portions are just right. We had the rack barbecue ribs and broiled salmon. The ribs were melt in the mouth good, and the salmon was very fresh. The highlight of our visit was our conversation with Tara, the restaurant manager. She was very friendly and helpful in getting us the table that we requested. We asked her about the Pacific eel in the marine tank. Tara told us that the eel is about 8 years old and when it was 4 years old, a devastating fire broke out at the Landmark Diner on August 22, 2019, which housed the eel and other fish (owned by the same owner of the Mirage). The owner managed to save the fish, including the eel, and they are now housed in 2 fish tanks in the restaurant. A terrible fire with a happy ending for the eel and its marine friends. Thank you, Tara, for telling us this uplifting story. If you need to burn some calories after lunch, a walk in Iona University, which is across the road from the Mirage, is enjoyable.

I ordered through Uber Eats and their website said it would take 15 minutes to deliver from my house. It took an hour and a half with no updates. I had to call to see where my food was and I requested on uber for the driver to Come up to my apartment. The driver did not come up and they asked me to meet him outside or I would not get my food. I asked if he was down there and he was not. I stood outside in 11 degree weather waiting for him to come to the front door when that wasn’t even in my delivery notes.

We gave this place a try on a Saturday morning shortly after they opened for the day. We were greeted and seated at a spacious booth right away.
The layout of this place is so nice and honestly once you’re inside you’ll feel like you’ve left NY. It’s spacious yet comforting, simple yet very modern.
Our server was very attentive and aimed to please. He was sure to answer our questions in great detail. He seemed to be 1 of the only servers working around the time we arrived. However, even though we weren’t his only table he shared his time responsibly and made us feel like we were.
The food was served within an ample timeframe and was served fresh. I went with the housemade corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese.
Overall, I can’t wait to visit this place again. It is family friendly and casual styling so everyone will enjoy.

rude host named NORMA who was nasty towards someone picking up my food for me WHILE I AM IMMOBILE, IN A WHEELCHAIR. do not go here unless you want overpriced food and irrational, disrespectful service. asked for evidence over the phone showing that I can’t walk and did not insist until showing the scars on my leg. Absurdly invasive, disrespectful and unprofessional.

First, we picked this place to spend couple of hours in nice cosy atmosphere, relax, check emails and talk. And we got it right. This place has European design, heigh ceilings, accurate finish and decor, a lot of space, cosy coaches.
We were surprised with variety of food choices. This time thought we went on desserts and it was one of the best cheesecakes I have tasted!
Service was nice and timely.
They have dedicated parking lot behind the building – just need to turn right at the corner.
