Pizza reminds me of Pizza Inn, which, if you’re from BR, you will totally know what I mean. Service was par, restaurant was clean but uninviting. I pickup takeout periodically when I need that 80’s pizza craving extinguished. Good food, but get it to go.

Definitely top 2 best pizzeria in South Louisiana. Always hot and fresh ingredients. I enjoy their flips (fancy hot pockets) as well. If you have not tried them out. You are missing what delicious means.

Time to get the north LA workers to come down and train these people at the highland location. This pizza is greasy, bland, and terribly made. I grew up eating Johnnys in north LA my whole life. This is not what I grew up with. The place is empty on a Saturday at 1 pm. This place won’t make it u til they show they care.

I hate giving bad reviews, but this location deserves it. Johnnys has great pizza when they actually manage to get the order right or be on time. But, they can’t. We were very happy when they opened several years ago but have been consistently disappointed. They’ll give us the wrong order – leave off toppings – put toppings we didn’t ask for – lose the ticket to make the order.

After that happens we will say screw it and not order from them for a year or so. We love the pizza so we will give them another chance but the same issues arise. On top of that, the atmosphere and workers are simply miserable. I don’t expect Chic Fil A but it’s worse than Popeyes. When you walk in to pick up your order at the counter the employees never acknowledge your presence, move in slow motion barely and barely speak. This has been the case for years. I want to give the benefit of the doubt and say we’ve been unlucky can’t anymore. It’s sad.

This is an ownership issue- it’s simply an ingrained culture of apathy at this location. When a business is run like this for years it’s not on the employees or managers; it’s ownership. Train your employees better, pay them more, go on site and lead by example. Do something before you lose even more customers. I don’t wish any ill will buy Lit and Jabby’s are opening locations all over. At a certain point unless this improves tremendously you won’t stay open for long. For us, we will never be going back.

The most recent example: My wife ordered a well-done pizza with light sauce and got this barely even cooked pizza (crust pictured) and definitely not light sauce.

“Sweep the Kitchen” is about as good as I remember it, and I haven’t been in years. I wish I knew about the seasonal “Sweep the Swamp” pizza before hand though. Apparently they make the sweep the kitchen but replace the meats with crab and crawfish for lent.

I ordered a sweep the kitchen as I always do every week thru uber. I received an onion only pizza. I called and told them it was terrible and I had ordered a meat lovers. The guy told me I had eliminated everything but onions on the order. I wasn’t aware but why would I order a meat lovers if I had done that on purpose? Anyway they could have e called me if it was a mistake. They did not as I am a loyal customer. I will never order from them again. I k ew Johnny back in the day and love to support the business but not anymore. The young man was so rude and actually hung up on me.

Do not order deliver you will get a baked take and bake which is not the same and when I put on the notes of my order they I would like a real pizza and not a baked take and bake they decided to send me an unbaked take and bake! Terrible service! Guess I’m eating bad pizza on Mother’s Day. I ordered a 14 in sausage pizza not take and bake.

Ordered a sweep the kitchen which I have always loved. Ordered it through GrubHub/Amazon. Placed the order at 2:20 and from 2:40 until 4:09 my pizza was being “worked on”. The GrubHub driver picked it up at 4:09.I got it at about 445. The pizza arrived cold. I called the restaurant to see if it had been sitting there since shortly after 240 to see if it was even safe to eat. The response I got from the guy even after he said he checked around, was that they wouldn’t leave a pizza sitting around and he had just gotten there and he really didn’t know. He said I would have to check with GrubHub because it was their issue… not Johnny’s pizza. I would say that GrubHub got it here in a timely manner… Johnny’s had my order From 220 to 4:09. That is unacceptable. I won’t be ordering it again.

I want to update you all on my experiences since my review. We have continued going to Johnny’s and on the 3 occasions since our last visit, the same employee has served us and I have to say that the management at Johnny’s has done a good job training. The young man has been very pleasant and has done a great job with servicing us with no hiccups. I hope Johnny’s continues to train their employees properly and I am glad they did with this young man. I also want everyone to know that I did not accept anything free from Johnny’s, that was not my intention and never has been when I write a review. I believe it says a lot for a company to look at a review and identify where they need to improve and do it. Thank you, Johnny’s!

The pizza is always good. I know hiring is challenging now but training is not. When we walked in the guy at the register goes to the back. We were the only ones there. He rang up our order and we asked for cups for water. He charged $4.98 for the cups. He didn’t ask anyone. A lady from the back told him to not charge for cups just make sure we get water. Another customer came in and we were not going to hold her up for a refund. The guy gave us the smallest cups they had. I asked if that is what a $2.50 cup looks like. The lady got us big cups, we got our water and are waiting for our food pissed because the lack of training and personality from this employee. I hate writing this review because I like the company. But if you don’t want to pay an extra $5 for cups then make sure he understands. The food is good but that employee needs to be trained! I won’t bring in outside food or drinks but I will bring in outside cups in the future.

Went for the buffet. But was discontinued. Still enjoyed a new deep dish style pizza that’s pretty darn good. Of course a also got the sweep the floor. The manager offered me 25% off for my meal.
