After an hour of waiting, which I can understand because it was a busy day, they brought us the check in the middle of our meal without us asking for it. When we walked in they did not want to serve us. I was not asked how I wanted my steak done, and assumed I wanted it well done. We were told if we wanted to continue our conversation to go to the bar because she was tired. She said because she was old and her boss was not around she wanted to close an hour early and kicked us out.

Walked in the door and was greeted like family! Even other patrons said hi – friendly! Great food! Love the cheesy potatoe soup and variety on the salad bar. They have large seating areas – some in the bar area, some in a dinning area and some in a coffee shop area. Quiet atmosphere all around. Margaret was spectacular waitress! Great smile and pleasant. Right on top of it all. Wonderful experience!! Will love to go back!!

Jay’s is a great place for some home cooking. The atmosphere is great, good hometown feel. The food was good, however the pork chops were a little rubbery and the manager took them off our bill. The staff were very attentive and really did a fantastic job taking care of us. I highly recommend this restaurant.
