Ordered DoorDash pickup thinking I’d get better food if I drove 20 minutes to get myself! I was so impressed it was taped up so nice to keep food warm but Boy was I wrong not to open before leaving!!! Picking up was no better than delivery. I paid for 1/2 SLICED brisket and what I got was chopped DRY nasty meat instead. The dogs were even pushing away. Then the 1 plate chicken meal was dry and cold. It looked like it sat for long time. I thought at least I can eat my $12 baked potato( which was so over priced but thought who can do potato bad!) but NOPE I was wrong that I couldn’t eat either! It had lots of cheese which was not on the order and since I’m allergic to cheese I couldn’t even eat my potato because cheese was all over! After paying $60 for a dinner we ended up dashing fast food. I’m so disappointed in food but what was worse was calling and being treated poorly as if I do something wrong and no apology was even offered! Now I see why store has low stars

The staff, 5 stars, all day long. The food AND drink, not so much. I have appreciated Dickey’s in Laredo,Texas first, then Mobile, Alabama, and now here, in Stockton/Lathrop, CA. This is my first serious complaint of food quality and I’ve done SOO MANY REVIEWS. I ACTUALLY FEEL GUILTY to complain.
Here goes: The sweet tea tasted like mildew-brew.
As a tea drinker, u know the taste.
The sauces? I mean, were those sauces? Straight liquid. The sweet sauce tastes like straight maple syrup, texture is like water.
Huge turn off.
His sandwich, hard rock bread. Stale.
My half pound of brisket tastes so much like cleaning products I’m freaked rn, and I can’t get the taste, or tingling to go away.
I was so happy to finally go to this place to eat.
Now I’m out whatever I spent for this, AND I’m diabetic and super turned off for food.
But those girls were so kind, polite, and helpful.
I their defense, we took our food home to eat. Had we have eaten there I’m sure they would’ve made it right. It’s just so bad I’m mind blown. I also do not complain about my food and expect people to make me some more.

A restaurant with excellent service, and right off I-5. When I walked in, I was greeted by two gentlemen (Daniel and Oscar). Right away, they took my order and lunch wad served. I like my BBQ really hot, so I do wish I had asked for it to be hotter (personal preference). The condiment bar has tasty sauces ranging from basic to spicy (I loved the spicy one). There is free ice cream (when you dine in)! Root beer float time! Clean restaurant, safe neighborhood, and delicious BBQ. Ya, really can’t go wrong with this food pick.

Nice BBQ place. Pulled pork sandwich was melting in my mouth. Nice smoke flavor but not overpowering. Fries were fresh and tasty and just right amount of seasoning. Ice cream for dessert just hit the spot! Excellent service at lunch. And you get to keep Big Yellow Cup!!

Meat should be central to a barbecue place and the pulled pork and brisket on my two-meat platter was pretty good. It was good enough that I was not inclined to add too much of the barbecue sauce that was very meh. The side of barbecue beans was also meh. My other side, fried okra, would have been great with 10 percent of the salt. With the salt it had, it was hard to eat. The most remarkable part of the meal was the “Texas toast.” It was a passable ciabatta roll, but Texas toast it was NOT.

I walk in and I was greeted but he went from cleaning to putting on gloves not washing his hands cross contamination maybe one day I will try this place again you have really watch these people when handling your food

What a huge waste of money. No effort in any of the burgers I ordered. It’s just meat and a bun. After selecting all the options for sauce and options on Uber eats, these ppl said nah… too hard and we are dum.

We purchased family meal & as you can see not only was the brisket dry & at least day old it tasted like plastic!! I called after getting home & informed employee how meat was dry & taste like plastic he initially chuckled & then asked for our order & said the order would be reversed call back in 1 hour after calling back hour later he asked me to call manager following day & he would reverse order the following day the manager said he can’t do that he’s a high school kid & neither can I after arguing with manager he asked for card # said 1/2 the order would be reversed & here we are 2 weeks later & the order has not been reversed horrible food & customer service they don’t even deserve 1 star

Update: owner asked me to contact them and I did and I never heard back.
I went to the lathrop location with my husband to get some food with one of the giftcard we received for Christmas it was $30 and due to our water heater bursting and our sewage backing up in our house we are broke! So we were thankful for the few gift cards we recieved we got there gave our order and when I went up to pay he asked if I had another form of payment cause the gift card machine isnt working (the employee had the name Denver on his hat under the Big D in the hat. I said no it was all I have and that I have just enough in my bank to cover the little the gift card wouldn’t cover. Well he decides to call the owner but kept getting the owner’s kid and I guess its cause the owner didnt have his phone on him. So as our food is sitting there cold already due to the time that has passed the employee says well I’ll just keep the gift card and I have to take cash for the rest my husband had to go dig for change in our car thankfully we had the rest in change but how embarrassing and then to be given our food cold and when I asked for a receipt he wouldn’t give me one cause he said he had to keep it to fix the transaction. I was disgusted but sadly we were so hungry we ate it anyways. Oh if it helps we went January 4th 2020 after 7pm

Food tastes alright but thanks to GrubHub or Dickey’s, not sure which, I have to try to enjoy this bbq DRY because they didn’t give me any sauce and will not deliver any after someone messed up. Would get it myself but I am in town for business with no car..
