We had a wonderful experience at this Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere was calm, pleasant, and very welcoming. The food was exceptionally fresh and absolutely delicious! Honestly, if I were a Michelin inspector, I would award this place the highest stars without hesitation!
The staff were brilliant, incredibly friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. We visited twice during our stay in Bournemouth, and both times were an absolute pleasure. You can really feel that the food is prepared with care and love. Everything we tried – ramen, sushi, and rolls – was outstanding and exceeded our expectations.
This is definitely a must-visit spot, and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We discovered Sakura Terrace during our stay at The Nici, and what a hidden gem it turned out to be. We ordered the chicken chow mein and the spicy chicken cheese roll and wow, our minds were blown. Easily some of the best Japanese cuisine in the area.
Everything tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavour, and you could tell the food was prepared with real care. The staff were super attentive and couldn’t do enough for us; the service was truly outstanding. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty they even opened the door for us on the way out.
It’s a lovely family run business and one you absolutely shouldn’t pass by. Definitely worth planning a visit!

Very warm welcome and our server was lovely. Food was very good served in good time. The salmon teriyaki starter and salmon hand roll was so good and we wished we had more. The pork ramen was the perfect portion, the pork was great and easy to break apart. Pork katsu curry was also great and the curry sauce had so much flavour. The pork was nice and crispy and cooked very well. We were only visiting for the night but if we were local this would be our regular restaurant. Seeing the food other tables were getting also looked amazing and we wished we could order everything. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely amazing food.
I had the garlic chicken ramen and my partner had the teriyaki chicken it was delicious! The service was brilliant and very polite. Decent portion sizes at a good price.
Overall had a wonderful experience and would 100% recommend this restaurant.

This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants that I’ve dined at. The staff were so lovely, food was delicious and the decor of the restaurant was amazing. I would definitely recommend taking a stop here if you’re visiting Bournemouth and we will definitely be dining here in the future *chef’s kiss*!!

Best place to eat in Bournmouth, nothing compares. The toilets are always spotless and clean, the food is so fresh and so flavourful, really high quality ingredients, melt in mouth sushi and every dish is really well presented. They should charge more for what they prepare. Really adore this place. Really cozy and quiet too, and they turn the heating on, never cold.

We ordered sushi, but unfortunately it wasn’t anything special—honestly, it felt like supermarket quality. The restaurant itself seemed quite old and in need of an update. On the positive side, the service was good, but overall the experience didn’t stand out. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

We’ve Bournemouth every year for the last few years now and each time we make sure we have a booking here.
Firstly, it was so nice that the lady recognised us from our visit last year, and came to speak to us when the restaurant was quieter, almost like an old friend. We told her we’d see her next time, and we definitely mean it.
Secondly, the food was really good. We didn’t bother having a big lunch today knowing we had a booking tonight and boy did we enjoy our feast! The prices are very reasonable too.
Thirdly, we liked the fact that they managed customers’ expectations. When we came it was relatively busy and they told us there might be a slight wait for the food. It didn’t feel that long before our food arrived and we were pleasantly surprised, because we were starving!
Definitely a thumbs up from all of us!

Went for a Valentine’s dinner and was safe to say we chose wisely. Lovely venue and staff, quick service and a very lovely ambience. The food was excellent, one of the best bowls of Ramen I’ve had outside of Japan.
