The food is basic fast food Mexican. Hardly any spice at all the salsa was bland. Rice had no flavor. Chicken was not seasoned. Ground beef was like mushy. Red sauce tasted like it was from a can. Should have known better no chorizo on the menu and no hot sauce on the tables.

It’s hard to believe this is the same restaurant I gave a 5 star review for in 2019. We ordered takeout dinners and it was disgusting. Sloppy, soggy, and greasy. Absolutely horrid. Part of one dinner was missing. We were so sick after eating part of it.
Almost $40 for two dinners that looked more like bits and pieces of old leftovers? No thanks. Not doing that again.
Service was not good. The gentleman at the counter was not very friendly. Another employee looked like he was almost asleep.
Disappointed and disgusting.

The food and service at Miguel’s is awesome. Although we’ve only been there one time, it was a very positive experience.
I’m not sure what our waiter’s name was, but he took care of our needs (ordering, bringing chips and salsa, and offering drink refills, bringing the check) without hovering. Excellent service. The general atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. Not too quiet and not too loud.
The food was very good. I ordered some sort of sampler type of platter and it was huge. Needless to say, the leftovers I took home were great.
I would recommend visiting Miguel’s to anyone looking for a sit down meal. I look forward to returning!

My friend and I took the French Lick trolley from the hotel to this restaurant as it was recommended to use it for a nice dinner. We are from Chicago and we have a lot of Mexican restaurants here and I realize there are a lot of 5 star reviews so maybe we came on a bad day or we have a specific way we are used to our Mexican food anyway our food was not what we were hoping for especially after being told it was good food. I ordered a bean burrito and a cheese enchilada along with a Miller lite beer. My friend ordered a steak taco and a margarita. The steak in the taco was very grisly. She didn’t eat most of it and there wasn’t a lot of flavor. The margarita was just okay. My bean burrito was basically a bean gravy. The beans were just watery. There were no actual beans in it. It was more like a wet gravy and it just poured right out of the shell. The cheese and the enchilada was not enchilada cheese. I think it was yellow cheese which is not normally what we have an enchilada. Overall, we were not so excited about our food. The atmosphere and the service was good and everybody was friendly. The menu was a great menu and had a good selection but overall this restaurant it just wasn’t for us.

I’ve been eating at Miguel’s for years while visiting French Lick. It used to be great but today it was frankly awful. Grease dripping from the taco so much all you could taste was grease. I had three bites and left the rest uneaten. I will not return.

My Little Princess and I stopped by for an evening meal and we selected Carnitas and the Special Dinner. We also had a margarita and a beer. The food was very good. The server, well, he was very polite, but needs some schooling in customer service.
Would we dine at this restaurant when in the area in the future? Most certainly. The meal was very enjoyable.

This place was hidden back a little, but it was great to find.
We walked in and were seated fast and greeted by friendly waiters. The environment was clean and fun, good music playing, and speedy service.
We order steak fajitas and fajitas jalisco. Both were cooked fresh, fast, hot juicy, not dry and delicious. Our waiter kept up with any request or chip refills, which were made fresh and delicious. The regular salsa was flavorless, but we ordered a salsa picante, which was better for our taste.
It was a great meal not overpriced with decent portion sizes too if you want Mexican American food, then try out this place in town.

It’s always a good sign when the restaurant is very busy with almost full dining room and there were numerous take-out orders while we were there. Started with chips, salsa and guacamole. Guacamole was simple, non chunky, no tomato or onion, ok but not anything special. Shrimp Chimichanga with rice and beans and Miguel’s Special – think that’s what it was called – included Chile relleno, chalupa, taco, enchilada and a tamale with beans and rice for dinner. Wow! It was amazing. Fast friendly service. Exceptional value for the entire meal. Would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again!

I have been here before. My first time, a couple years ago was amazing, then second time, not so much, then today I got pickup. And it was terrible. Not much food for the price, and their burritos are less than taco bell in taste. It costed 45$ for 2 burritos and a taco salad. The best part was salsa and chips that came with. The service wasn’t good either. The description of the dishes included the cheese sauce, but we we’re charged extra for it without him telling us it costed more. Never coming here again. To give them credit, I love the looks of the interior
