Special mention to Rohit for his warm and attentive service, he made day even more memorable with his recommendations and hospitality.
Sorrento truly lives up to its reputation for fine Italian dining. Can’t wait to visit again! ✨
The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful décor that created the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a casual meet-up with friends, the atmosphere suits every occasion beautifully.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of rich, balanced flavors. The ingredients tasted fresh, and you could tell that great care had been taken in both preparation and presentation. The main course was cooked to perfection, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was polite, attentive, and always ready with helpful recommendations. They made sure everything was just right without being intrusive, which added to the overall comfort of the experience.
Overall, this restaurant delivers excellent food, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again! ️✨
For the price, I expected the food to be more impressive. That said, the restaurant staff and service were excellent — very warm and attentive, which made the experience much better overall.
The place is So artistically created, ambience is perfect for a pure Italian fine dining experience

She’s very good
Thank you arek for making my birthday special with such good recommendations and superb service
The dip of sun dried tomatoes with multi grain bread is a perfect start to the meal
Finish your meal with a live tiramisu
Chef will finish it on your table
It was simply superb
We Will be visiting again soon
Chefs did the good customisation
We were satisfied with everything except 1 burrata al pesto pizza , it was definitely good but other dishes we ordered were better
This time we visited on Tuesday suprisingly it was totally full
As usual super good service
We missed the sundried tomatoes dip instead of that they served olive dip but it wasn’t anywhere close for me and for all 12 of us
We requested the kid insisted he only wants pesto and they couldn’t serve us pesto that day it was disappointing as the kid had nothing no pizza / pasta / risotto nothing could be served in pesto
Not worth the visit.
We asked to speak with the manager, Mr. Manish, and he came only after we requested his involvement twice. Even then, his manner suggested that assisting us was a favour rather than a basic obligation to honour a confirmed booking. He seated us outside Shang Palace, but the server there immediately informed us that he could not serve most of Sorrento’s menu. The lack of coordination among the team was evident, and the overall attitude made it clear that they had no intention of taking ownership of the situation.
What made this even more unacceptable was the fact that at 8 PM, while we were standing at the entrance, the restaurant was still accepting new reservations on the app. Overbooking is understandable, but continuing to take new bookings while refusing to seat guests who already have confirmed reservations shows a serious lapse in operational discipline. These same platforms are used by the restaurant to attract diners during slower hours, so dismissing the issue as a platform problem is simply not credible.
What was meant to be a special evening for my spouse and me was completely ruined. The behaviour of Ms. Simran and the inadequate response from Mr. Manish, along with the broader mismanagement involving Mr. Naveen and Mr. Suraj, left us genuinely disappointed and let down by a brand we expected far better from.
The pasta were all delicious. The tuna steak was just average. The portion is on the smaller side. We weren’t too hungry, but wish that we had tried the pizza as well.
Definitely a nice experience, and a good break from the local cuisine
The Unpleasant Surprise: A “Curated” Event That Felt Like a Trap
Subject: An Insult to Intelligence, Palate, and Loyalty – Sorrento’s Shameful Decline
Sorrento has long been regarded as one of the city’s premier destinations for upscale Italian cuisine—a place where my partner and I have returned faithfully over the years, drawn by consistent excellence, a thoughtful vegetarian selection, and an atmosphere of refined hospitality. Our visit on Monday, 9th February, however, marked a startling and deeply frustrating departure from everything we had come to love about the restaurant.
Let me be blunt: Our visit to Sorrento on Monday, 9th February, was one of the most cynical, disrespectful, and poorly executed dining experiences I have ever endured at this price point. This was not a bad meal; it was a calculated betrayal of a regular customer.
Upon arrival, we were informed—not in advance, but at the table—that the restaurant was hosting a promotional event featuring a curated menu by Chef Simone Cipriani. While such events can be exciting, the execution felt more like strong-arming than celebration. The extensive, beloved regular menu—the very reason for our loyalty—was brutally curtailed to a bare-bones list. The sense of choice, and more importantly, of being valued as a regular customer, vanished immediately.
This wasn’t an offering; it was a forced march into Chef Simone Cipriani’s poorly conceived, vegetarian-hostile tasting menu. Choice was eliminated. Our patronage was taken for granted.
The Culinary Carnage:
• The Forced, Feeble Menu: For vegetarians, the “menu” was a slap in the face. Two forgettable antipasti and a single cauliflower main. The pizza selection was reduced to one—a basic Margherita — with no options for customisation. This isn’t fine dining; it’s culinary extortion.
• The Inedible: One dumpling dish was so violently over-seasoned and sour that it had to be sent back. At these prices, such a fundamental failure is unforgivable.
• The Fraud: The “Basil Pesto Burrata Risotto” was the ultimate insult. The risotto arrived chilled, with a cold, solid lump of bland cream cheese plopped on top. This was not burrata. This was a cheap, shameless substitution designed to fool customers who wouldn’t know the difference. Burrata has a specific, luxurious texture and flavour. What they served was a lazy, fraudulent imitation. Calling this “burrata” is a lie, and charging premium prices for it is theft.
Looks like Sorrento has revealed its true priorities: squeezing every penny from promotional gimmicks while treating regulars with contempt. They sacrificed quality, choice, and honesty on the altar of a poorly managed event.
You are not paying for fine Italian food here. You are paying for the arrogance to serve you chilled, incorrect dishes, call them luxury items, and expect you to thank them for the privilege. The emperor has no clothes, and the kitchen has no integrity.
A final warning to vegetarians and discerning diners: Sorrento will happily take your money and serve you scraps, both in choice and in quality. Our long-standing loyalty is officially revoked.
Avoid this restaurant until it remembers that its customers are guests, not captives to be fooled and fed poorly. An embarrassing, pathetic performance from a once-great establishment.
