First time at Kendejah and it was pretty good. So happy it’s all halal food! I ordered okra soup with chicken and turkey (loved the turkey flavor in it — very smokey), jallof rice was very flavorful too, ordered egusi but I think there was some miscommunication so I got the goat soup (it was okay for me — very tomatoes but the goat was very tender) and of course fufu is always good. Also, got the cornbread and mannnnn I are the whole thing without sharing! It was delicious!

Phenomenal food. I haven’t had Liberian food in a long time and this hit the spot. Food came out quick and it was still fresh by the time I got it back home. Would recommend to others and would definitely come back. Ordered the cassava leaf with chicken and smoked turkey. Switched the rice for fufu which was a bit more expensive but 100% worth it.

This place is bomb aff!! I would recommend the goat soup, egusi, and palm butter dishes!! Like honestly everything was so tea especially since they upgraded their place to dine in!! The service was soo kind and we accidently ordered a dish that wasn’t available for the day and they still served it to us!

I got the potato greens, which was good. I ordered online and it said it would be ready in 15 minutes, which was not the case. They did take about an extra 20 minutes to finish making and packing my food even though it was a special of the day. The food was well seasoned and I believe the turkey they used was just smoked turkey- eat in moderation given that smoked turkey is high in sodium.

I paid $45 for red snapper w/ jollof and a side of greens. I’m very disappointed… the fish was tiny and overcooked. I don’t think it was fresh…it was not white and flaky at all. Waste of money.

Me and my cousins were looking for a place to get fufu. One of the restaurants that we were planning to go to was closed on Sunday, but Thank God we found out Kendejah Restaurant was open! It was my first time having Liberian food and I was not disappointed. As soon as we walked in, Dougie gave us a sample of “The Sauce”, and I knew I had to bring one home to NY. All orders are take out, but we were lucky to sit at the table outside the restaurant. We couldn’t wait to eat that I couldn’t get decent pictures of our dishes. We ordered the oxtail stew, okra, the collard greens with chicken and plantains. It was my first time trying fufu and I enjoyed it. I am not a fan of okra because i’m a texture person, but the okra we got COMPLETELY changed my mind. I would order it again, especially the oxtail. Everything was delicious, you have to try it yourself.

My daughter and I drove up from San Jose for lunch because there isn’t any West African food near us – and we are so glad we did! I had the okra with smoked turkey and chicken, and she got the stewed goat. We both opted for the fufu because we had not had it before, and we also got cornbread. Plus we got “The Sauce”. Everything was so yummy, and made with love. The okra dish had a lot of flavor, and a nice texture. We both really liked the fufu as well. The goat stew was spicy and really flavorful. The cornbread also went really well with the goat stew. The cornbread had a bit of an orange flavor, which was nice. We really want to come back and try the peanut stew on a Saturday.

So delightful. Delicious flavors, huge portions and the kindest staff. Definitely get the hot sauce (you can buy by the bottle too!) Was ready 20 minutes after I called the order in. Wish I could try their special daily menus for a week + !
