I ordered delivery from the Euclid restaurant. It was delivered hot and fresh and crunchy. You can also decide how you like your veggies and sides fried. We only did bites but it was filling and adorable but best of all delicious. We had the fried Mac n cheese bites , corn bites, and hush puppies. They offer a great menu looking forward to eating there again.

I ordered via UberEats so i cant speak on the service or atmosphere. But i will say as a Chicago native and also a woman who came from living in the south for the past 12 years… this is close enough. The owners have to be from Chicago, because this mimics the classic J&J fish ans Chicken. I would have liked my fish fried a bit harder, but it could have softened in transport. It was great and I will definitely order again when im wanting some comfort food. ❤️❤️

The fried COD was very good! A lot of fish and less batter. The fries are great too. Fast and a very clean market inside. It’s worth trying. Call it in and take it home!

Captain Sam’s is located in the My Market convenience store. I ordered a combo of fried catfish and chicken wings with a side of macaroni salad. Really tasty the fish and chicken. Both were seasoned well and fried to perfection along with very crispy, lightly battered fries. All so good!

I wanted to give a food review on my very first order from this restaurant because I’ve heard so much about it. But I’m contemplating on if I even want to eat the food because of the way it showed up by the delivery driver. And it would happen on a day that I ordered delivery service, something I normally don’t do. Why would your restaurant not seal the bag and have it looking like this for delivery? One of the boxes of food open and everything. You could’ve at least put a knot in the bag, I can tell there wasn’t even an attempt to tie the bag closed SMH.

Went here for the catfish, and got the wings with it, the catfish was ok they cook it to fast, I think if they let it cook just a few minutes longer would definitely make a difference. But overall pretty good food

This is a hidden gem. The restaurant is pickup only. It’s inside a liquor store/Market. Omg…they hook it up in here. It is by far the best old school fried fish place in San Diego!! The catfish is the bomb.com. I tried the chicken wings. They weren’t to great. But I had only gone there for fish. The do not disappoint. It is a must try. Once you start going. You will continue to go back.
