Lived in Whittier for over 20 years and never was able to try this place. Seems like they were closed every time I drove by and never really thought to stop by for a bagel. Anyway, driving by around 12:30 and saw they were open, so I made a u turn and dropped in. Glad I did! Bagels were not warm, but were fresh. Very Soft and airy. Cream cheese was very light too. Very different from what I’m used to. I wouldn’t say they were truly NY style, since they didn’t have the chewy outside and less dense, but really liked them. Service was very nice too. Ordered four bagels, but found they snuck in an extra one when I got home :). Very kind. Prices per bagel were really great too. So much better than grocery baked bagels. Only wish I was closer now, but happy to grab a few every time I’m in town.

Pro tip: get there early for full menu. As you can see from the list posted, they were out of quite a few by the time I got there at 12:30. I was able to grab a rainbow which is plain but colored, everything with jalapeño and cheese (plus the freebie), cranberry and sesame seed! I prefer plain, so the rainbow and sesame were good alternatives!

Great tasting bagels for a very affordable price. Even the day old bagels are really good and they give you some pretty good flavors. We really enjoy the plain and the sesame bagels the most.

Ordered via Grubhub, so I had no clue about their bagesls, went in blind! So glad I did, these are the best bagels I had in a looong time! Fresh, soft, airy, order 6 plain and 6 jalapeno cheese, plain cream cheese, veggie and jalapeno cream cheeses. The veggie cream cheese was the bomb! Fresh carrots, celery, green onions and all the veggies were still crunchy! Jalapeno Cream cheese had fresh jalapenos and it was tasty, not too spicy. Maybe make a Habanero Cream Cheese for those of us that like it hot! Thank you again for slicing the bagels a service they charge for, but since I order via Grubhub there wasn’t an option for slicing the bagels, called it in and they did a one time slice on my bagels! Thank you for your great food and customer service, you have a new regular customer!

First time at New York Bagels LA! Looks way different than your typical Bagel shop. Good music and bagels were delicious. I had the Lox Bagel and Jalapeño cheddar with cream cheese. When there’s a line be prepared to wait about 10+ minutes for your order, but worth the wait. Definitely coming back for the Lox Bagel again!

We really enjoy and very happy to have fresh baked bagels available in our neighborhood. Friendly staff. Breakfast bagels available. Cream cheeses selections. Limited seating so mostly takeout. But it is worth a visit if you want a good fresh bagel. Very good selection and prices. Plenty of parking. Located in industrial park facing Washington Blvd. Worth a visit.

This review is way overdue. But this spot in whittier is a true gem. They specialize in freshly baked bagels. But they also have pastries. If you go, you MUST try their blueberry scones. They are hands down the best tasting scone I’ve ever had. Be warned they sell out fast, most times by 8 they are all gone. You can also score a tasty breakfast sandwich or lox bagel. They open daily at 6am and close at 1pm. You can also score a bag of day-old bagels for a really good price.

FIRST & LAST TIME I VISIT HERE. WARNING ⚠️ ‼️ FOOD POISONING!!! The cream cheese was soft almost the consistency of SOUR CREAM. The shop itself is warm inside so god knows if that cream cheese was sitting out and for how long. All I ate were those bagels. Two hours past the time of consumption I began to experience stomach cramps and nausea. It progressively got worse turning into actual vomit and diarrhea.

I discovered this wonderful bagel place during a search and boy, have I been missing out! The fresh and soft bagels here are absolutely delicious. My partner tried the flavorful lox bagel, which was soft and full of flavor. I opted for the raisin bagel, paired with a delicious raspberry spread that surpassed our expectations. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is just right, and the place is clean with friendly staff. Don’t hesitate to check it out!
