My new favorite place to get Balkan area food. We got two of the spicy Pljeskavica and an order of fries. The meat party is made in house according to the owner and the bread is from the family’s bakery. Both were simply fantastic.
The meat was just the right consistency and had a nice mouth feel and chew. It had the flavor that I have grown to love with ground meat from the region.
The bread was soft and hot and very moist without falling apart or being soggy.
The fries were in between a thick cut and a shoestring and had enough on the plate to feed more than a couple of people. They were well seasoned with a seasoning that was a cross between Greek and Italian. Whatever it was it worked.
The place was spotless inside and the gentleman working there that took our order and cooked our food was super nice and a pleasure to talk with.
This will not be our last visit and I am afraid we might have just started an obsession that leads to us trying everything they offer.

Went back to try more stuff and was not disappointed at all. The Philly was incredibly tasty as was the burger.
The bread used on both really tipped them over the great into outstanding.

Small place but the burger is huge!! Tastes phenomenal and the owner came and checked with us multiple times and is a super nice guy. 10/10 on the Smash Burger. Definitely coming back for more!

I had lunch at Zito Deli and tried the gyro burger with everything and it was amazing. I don’t eat Greek food very often, but this absolutely won me over, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu.
I met a business colleague for lunch, and it was a perfect spot to actually enjoy a conversation while eating great food relaxed, comfortable, and not rushed. The owner was there during our visit and was awesome to chat with, which really adds to the experience.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great people. Highly recommend.

I went because my boss sent me and I had their Donner gyro. Words do not have enough to describe this masterpiece. I would tell any one that likes gyros go! My second trip was just as great with the smash gyro burger, photos of it posted too. I went a third time with my better half and just as amazing.
They make their own breads locally and looks like local meats too, but I am not sure. I am sure you will enjoy the food.

Came in the first time unsure of what I wanted. Gentleman behind the counter asked what I was thinking about. I told him the gyro sounded really good. He said it’s the best one in St Louis. Oh yeah? Ok let’s test that out buddy. Sat with my wife and food came out quickly. It sure had the look of best gyro. Gigantic, stacked with generous amounts of meat and fixings. When it came time to put his bold claim to the test, from the very first bite I knew he wasn’t messing around. When he came to check I told you ain’t lying. It really is. Quality just as good the second and staff just as friendly

The Doner is the reason I keep coming back. I get it on the fresh bread. The combination of that bread, gyro meat and tzatziki make this the best lunch. I usually splurge and get a cheese pita even though it too much for one person.

Little place not many people seem to know about, but has been in business a long time. I love the Gyro meat salad. And it is loaded ( get extra meat if you like that meat) I even took off some meat and had it in eggs a couple of days lol. Very friendly small local business. They make their bread on site. The food is Mediterranean and the Gyros and kebabs….Chefs kiss.

Oh my if your looking for a good gyro they have the best. They make their own bread and the lamb is so tender. The gyro was so big my husband and I split it it came with really good french fries.

My husband and I recently visited Zito’s for the first time after seeing some recommendations in the local Facebook group. It was genuinely one of the best meals we have enjoyed out at a restaurant in months! We feel like the quality of restaurants have gone down drastically, and everyone is serving the same Sysco slop. The food was insanely delicious, the owner was so incredibly friendly and informative, and he even gave us a loaf of homemade bread to take with us when we left. We will be back over and over again. My husband had the Doner gyro and I had the Philly cheesesteak gyro. Good size portions and had me sound the happy food dance!
