We are here for my husbands work and walked down to the grocery store and decided to go to the Empire Chinese Kitchen and grab some supper. The customer service and the food were wonderful. We will be back next time we are in town.

I’ve given this place two tries now, hoping for a better experience the second time around, but unfortunately, it fell short both times. As someone originally from California, where quick and tasty Chinese food spots are on every corner, it’s been challenging to find a place that meets those expectations here. When I heard about this spot, I was hopeful, but my experiences left much to be desired.
On my first visit, I tried their made-to-order dishes. As other reviewers have mentioned, the food was oily and lacked flavor. Determined to give it another shot, I returned for their hot food-to-go options. This time, I ordered the veggie chow mein, sesame chicken, and broccoli beef.
The chow mein was a letdown—gummy, overcooked, and tasted like it might have been leftovers from the day before. The sesame chicken had an okay flavor, but the texture of the chicken was dry and tough. As for the broccoli beef, while the meat was tender and the broccoli was fresh, the overall flavor was odd and unappealing.
At around $13 for the plate, I expected better quality. To top it off, I found a grey hair in my food, which was…not ideal (see pics).
Overall, I’d recommend saving your money and looking elsewhere for better Chinese takeout. The food here didn’t live up to expectations, and the lack of quality control was disappointing.

Update: Whelp the previous are 100% spot-on! Delicious food that’s makes Panda Express feel like a minor league Chinese restaurant! Empire Kitchen does it right! To the family that’s running Empire Kitchen keep up the excellent work, it is incredible food!
Hoping the food is as good as everyone is saying! Looks & smells delicious! I ordered a 1/2 order of Fried Dumplings & the Orange Chicken combination platter but subbed Chicken Fried Rice instead of the usual Ham. I added some full menu pics, with the updated pricing.

This place was clean and had good music playing, which was relaxing. I got sweet and sour and sesame chicken. I’m a little disappointed that my sesame chicken did not have sesame seeds on it, but it was delicious. Everything was really tasty and crispy as it should be. The food came out hot and fresh. I recommend it for sure. If you read my review, do me a solid and follow me here of Google. I review restaurants across the country.

Let me make this easy- go elsewhere. Especially if you are looking to sit down and have a nice Chinese meal served to you. This is a To-go style restaurant. So you walk up to the counter, order and if you sit in the dining room your food will still be brought to your table in a Styrofoam container with plasticware.
The food-was all soooo oily. More than any food I’ve ever seen. The soups all tasted like Sesame oil was dumped in them. The rice tasted like canola oil. The Tso chicken and orange chicken was deep fried and bland.
The food was hot and prepared fesh besides the lomein and took some time to get.
I just won’t be back. Not a great experience and $30 for 2 people. Yikes.

This was our first time ordering. We ordered around 4p on NYE, and they were understandably busy (food ready an hour after order was placed) but we still received hot, flavorful food. Our only complaint was a piece of (packaging?) tape found in one of our entrees but we liked the food enough to forgive it. We will order again.

We ordered wonton soup , egg drop soup and Seagate chicken. Both soups tasted like rubber and were so greasy we couldn’t eat it. Absolutely disgusting. The lo mein was soggy and had no flavor. The only edible thing in our $40 order was the chicken. And it wasnt very good. It tasted old and was slightly mushy. We ended up throwing all of our food away. Absolute waste of $40. Now we are still hungry , have no lunch and we’re out $40. We will never eat here again nor recommend this place to anyone.

This place has the BEST chicken lo mein! I have tried other Chinese restaurants lo mein in the Bountiful/Woods Cross area & this place takes the cake! I also got cream cheese wontons. Delicious! When I went tonight they were busy but still friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place! (This picture shows 1/2 of the lo mein and I had eaten two wontons before I took this picture)
