By November of 1954 Kirschbaum’s Bakery was born at its current location at 825 Burlington Avenue in Western Springs IL., serving only baked goods.

Just a wonderful bakery. I was able to easily order online and pick a date I needed to pick up my order. It was waiting for me when I got there, and I even bought a King Cake when I was there. Everything looked wonderful – bread, coffee cake, donuts, cookies – and the staff were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend.

This was my first visit to this bakery. It was crowded when I went in at 8:30 am. I took a number and began to finalize my choices to buy. I mentioned that this was my first visit and the other customers began suggesting which items I should try. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The staff were busy but helpful. I ended up buying a lot more than I needed but I had to buy some of the suggested items. I bought a chocolate frosted cake donut, some mini cheesecake cups, a fourth pound of the small cookies and a bag of onion buns. YUMMY! Everything was just delicious! I used the onion buns to make a sandwich for my lunch and I ate my chocolate frosted donut. I would recommend if you are in the area to stop in and try something. I will be back for sure. They have donuts, pies, cookies, and so many more items.

This is a classic bakery of the highest order! On par with Weber Bakery which for me says a lot. This is our go-to for the Rainbow Cake. Great service. Very crowded when I went around 10:30a on a Friday. They have a nice array of doughnuts, cookies, breakfast cakes, cakes, pastries…so much yumminess!

If you’re a person of color I would gladly reccomend staying away from this place. Owner immediately gave very prejudice vibes, basically implied (me) a black male with tattoos and piercings was a common street thug despite being well spoken and cordial. Will definitely not be doing business here again nor will my friends or family.

Incredible bakery. We’ve been coming here since 2015 every single Saturday morning for donuts. It’s a family tradition at this point. They have incredible cakes, pies, breads, and other bakery goods as well. Highly, highly recommend!
