What an amazing meal- probably one of my favorites during my entire month here in Panama! Each dish is incredibly prepared and filled with flavor. The servers are kind, the vibes are authentic, and food came quick. What more can you ask!

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for over 5 years! For me, it’s a little hidden gem in Vía Argentina, El Cangrejo. The food is great with really good prices and a wide variety of drinks from sweet Japanese beers to creative cocktails. They also have daily food specials, which are always a nice surprise.
The only downside is that the service can be a bit of a lottery. Sometimes it’s good, other times it feels a bit off. It’s a mix of kind yet rushed, and sometimes lacks warmth, especially with one of the guys. When you ask for recommendations, it can even feel like you’re bothering him. Maybe they just need an extra hand, someone more attentive and less overwhelmed, since it’s clear the owner has the capacity but hasn’t yet taken that step.
Aside from that, it’s a must-visit! A truly unique Izakaya experience in Panama City.

I have been to Izakaya Kabuki on two occasions. During my last visit, we ordered several plates, including salmon onigiri. Everything was not only delicious but also very comforting to eat. The place is a bit hidden, but I believe that’s part of the magic.

I have nothing but praise for the food, simply delicious and it comes out fast so that’s a plus, the place is small and you should probably make a reservation, portions are also small but most items go according with the price, again food was so good!! I went with my partner and we really enjoyed it, the atmosphere is nice and service is super kind too.

This place is good even though It didnt struck me. Its very small so I recommend making a reservation. The food was good. It seemed very authentic and the overall experience was good. Their specials are by day so good luck. Maybe call before heading there.

I found out about this place from my sister, I have to be honest I was a little skeptical to try it cause I have been living in South Korea for four years now and I have been traveling a lot to Japan.
Anyways I have to say that I was very impressed with the interior design, it’s an original Izakaya down to the menu design. Good job!
The food! Amazingly delicious well prepared and presentation it’s great!
Japanese lady is very polite and sweet. The guy (manager I think) not so much he should learn a little more about the culture he tries to be polite but feels forced and in the end he is rough and tactless.
Update: I visited several times after and “the guy” is awesome! Haha good guy really friendly and always goes out to make you feel good and enjoy your time.
