During my stay in Thunder Bay, I had dinner at “Famous Tandoor Restaurant” and had a wonderful experience. The mutton karahi I ordered was rich, flavorful, and reminded me of home perfectly spiced and cooked just right.
The owner/Guest was incredibly polite and made me feel very welcome, which added a special and personal touch to my visit. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was simple but comfortable, ideal for enjoying authentic Pakistani cuisine.
Overall, One and only great spot for Pakistani food in Thunder Bay. I would highly recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

I just ordered karahi paneer only 6 small paneer chunks and rest 70% oil and rest 30% raw onion tomoto pure which isn’t well cooked please tell your chef or cook to cook onion puree into the oil until its get proper brown

As Persians, my wife and I loved the food, we had to ask for a no to mild order and both the tandoor kabab platter and the tandoor lamb shank (with Afghani ghabeli polo) were delicious. There was an unexpected dressing, but we liked it! Restaurant looked peaceful and cozy and has a lot of potential for improvement. We’ll be back 🙂

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! The garlic naan is literally pizza dough, the reception is always empty, it took almost 1 hour 30 mins to bring the food, the waiter keeps running to the kitchen (I believe he is the cook), leaving customers unattended. The food was not fresh (malai chicken) and the mango lassi is the worst i have ever tried (it’s literally like frappe and not even a hint of yogurt). It’s the worst Indian restaurant i have tried in thunder bay. DON’T BUY FROM THIS PLACE!

Best experience in thunderbay…. They don’t just rush to complete your order, they asked that it will be ready in 20-25 minutes but got it quickly. and the taste was worth the time we waited. I had been 3 times since i moved to the city and basically hasbecame my go to place for both dine in and delivery because the foood is soo mouthwatering everytime same taste same deliciousness served with affordable prices. I crave this place lamb shank every week !! Especially the red sauce provided on side, have tried the nihari too its 10/10,have also had the keema naan and its also very delicious, customer service is amazing very friendly owner !! T

If I had an option of 0 or a negative rating, I would do that. Ordered butter chicken and chicken manchurian with 4 butter naan. We were told it would be ready in 20 minutes but had to wait 15 more minutes.
There chicken Manchurian is literally fried chicken in tomato ketchup.
Butter chicken had just 4 small pieces of chicken and had sort of the same gravy .
Paid $47 to actually just get the food and throw it in the garbage as one can not eat such sweet gravy and not fall ill or throw up.
Also, we did not receive butter naan but 2 bowls of rice that were not even needed.
Don’t know how this restaurant is still in business.
Not recommended to anyone.
