03/01/26-So let me start by saying I’m mad I am just now trying Ms. Jade’s food. It was babe birthday weekend so I told him to pick where he wants to eat. He picked Ms. Jade’s. On sunday she opens at 1pm. We got to the door at 1:05 it was already a line. So we wait. The wait was cool and no drama. The smells coming from the kitchen took me back to my childhood and there was gospel playing so the mood was set. It was about a 30 minute wait to get to order our food but we were greeted graciously. I love great customer service. I had questions as always. She answered with no hesitation and I didn’t get any attitude(a plus). Once we ordered we left out to go to rita’s whole we waited for our food. The food was out in about 15-20 minutes. We took it to go and the smell of the fish was driving me crazy all the way home. I ordered catfish with potato salad and greens. Babe got whiting with mac and yams. Let me just say we will be returning. This food was still hot when we got home. The portions was enough to divide with leamont and we all were full. The fish was flavorful and crispy. The greens were good and potato salad was good as well. I tasted all babe food and there are no complaints at all. I’ll be seeing you this week for some fried green tomatoes. The food was definitely worth the wait. If you haven’t gone and you thinking about it just do it.

This was a decent soul food spot in Cincy. I have been to a few and this one is a good one. The customer service is great and the atmosphere is nice. Love the artwork and location is cool. The catfish I had was ok, It didn’t taste all that fresh to me, but it I am sure its not the restaurant cook, maybe the merchant that they purchased from. The salmon patties were ok, good portion. The sides we had were, rice and gravy, gravy was good. The greens and cabbage mix which was tasty, green beans were good. The cornbread was thick and a little dry, that was a side too. Overall it was good. It was seasoned well, just a little overseasoned to my liking tho, but I am sodium sensitive.

The Greens were okay. If you ask me they remind me of Glory Greens in a can. The Mac n Cheese was disappointing. Way over cooked greasy and just overall not good. The Salmon patties were supposted to come with 3 but onky got 2 and i ordered 2 of the same meal and both onky had 2. They were the best thing out of all of it. I was a little dissapointed because I spent $22.26 for 1 mean and like I said I ordered 2. To be hones I would try again they have a lot on the menu but I wouldnt make it my 1st choice based off this. I would have rather eat a burger then this same meal again.

Eating the same things, from the same places, has a tendency to get old very quickly. However, if you are in search of some good ole soul food cooking at a reasonable price, look no further than Mz. Jade’s.
I had them for the first time 1/2/26. Tired of burgers and fries, I searched for somewhere I could get a variety of options, that tastes good, and wouldn’t break the bank. I found these and more.
Upon entering, my wife and I were greated with a smile. We were then offered assistance in explaining the menu and choosing items. My selections included the catfish dinner w/ mac n cheese, and greens. To say that it was delicious is an understatement. I was very impressed with the flavor profile, food texture, and freshness of each item.
I fully recommend stopping by and grabbing you some delicious eats at Mz. Jades.

I went for catfish and 3p sold out so I settled for whiting that fish too fishy. The food is too salty, I couldn’t eat it ,it was not bad food just too salty over powering the taste of the food. The macaroni was a bit disappointing considering the photos and hype is was nothing more than dry noodles and cheese. I wouldn’t order it again .I wish her nothing but the best! My advice is to lighten up on season everyone can’t do all that sodium its way yyyy too much.Costumer service was absolutely AMAZING!!!

Food came out piping hot! We got the whiting, salmon croquettes, fried pork chop, chicken wings, yams and fries. And they sell Kool-aid like your mama used to make…good and sweet!

Strong recommend. Shrimp Po Boy was excellent, with good portion size and a finger licking sauce. Also ordered wings which were juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Staff was very warm and friendly. We’ll be back.

Service was on point, no complaints there. But the food? That’s a different story.
There’s definitely some potential here, but my entree missed the mark. I ordered the whiting dinner with cabbage and yams. The fish itself was fried nicely, but it was extremely salty. The sauce that came with it was also salty, which just pushed it over the edge. Honestly, some simple tartar sauce and hot sauce would have been a much better move. The cabbage was swimming in liquid, lacked seasoning, and were cooked to death. The yams were stringy and tasted like Big Red gum.
I might give them another try because the service was solid, so maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen. But this plate definitely didn’t hit the way I hoped it would.
