I’ve been to Terra Mia a few times, so to compare, if Terra Mia is the traditional, rustic kind of pizza, then Prime Pizza is definitely the cleaner, more modern take. Personally, this style is more my thing!
It’s a little on the expensive per slice, but the quality is totally worth it. It kind of reminds me of In-N-Out—super basic but they nail the fundamentals, and it just works.
I tried a few flavors: the White, the Arrabiata, and a Supreme. My absolute favorites were the White and the Arrabiata!
The White pizza was seriously delicious. The ricotta cheese made it so creamy and savory, and not heavy at all. I think this one will be a huge hit, especially with the ladies! The pizza crust itself was awesome too.
We’re super happy to have a great new pizza spot right near our place! Plus, the staff were friendly and nice.
Next time, I’m definitely getting a half White and half another flavor to try out! Highly recommend giving this place a shot!

Really really good thing crust pizza. We stopped by and had 1 pepperoni and 1 white pizza slice, with buffalo wings. All was excellent, the thin cracker like crust was a great change from the thicker bread pizzas lately. The service was fast and friendly but mostly outside seating with only one table inside. My new go to pizza place.

Everything was so good. The manager was really nice. The employees were fabulous and helpful. The food. The pizza crust was gluten-free. I was very pleased and happy toppings perfection.

My absolute favorite new pizza spot!! The different pizzas they have are delicious. The Sicilian is tasty and their ranch is out of this world! The added bonus is the friendly customer service we receive with each visit. So glad to have found this gem here in Mission Viejo!

Honestly, its pretty good the pizza and the price is fair. However, If you want a better pizza place to go to, I prefer Terra Mia thats behind the wendys close to the freeway here in Mission Viejo. Pizza taste better, time it takes to make it is like 20-25 minutes at best and they have a custom soda machine on whatever soda you want on that machine (Similar to Wendy’s and other fast food restaurants that have the coca-cola custom soda machine). Overall, 4/5 and a 7.5/10 like its not too bad, but Terra Mia will always be my favorite.

Some of the best pizza I’ve found in Cali! Huge, fat slices, great big pies, fantastic toppings – I love this spot. Their ricotta cheese is delicious, as are their vodka and marina sauces. Even the meatballs were great. I couldn’t have been happier, and my wife and our DnD group loved it too! Plus the customer service is above and beyond. Thanks guys!

After hearing about Bevel Coffee’s experience withing with Prime Pizza on the Cat & Cloud podcast, I knew I had to try next time I was in the area. Luckily the Mission Viejo location opened prior to my Anaheim trip and I made it down. Since I’m vegan I was extremely happy to see vegan options, not just sauce on crust. The vegan supreme was so delicious and Prime Pizza’s vendor of choice for cheese and smeats (Be Hive) is some of the best I’ve had.
Only downside is I wish there was an indoor seating area, but they’re working with what they have! Great pizza, tunes, and ambience. Highly recommend.

A pizza place that just gets it! We came here for the soft opening on accident and are we so happy we did! I ordered a slice of the vodka pizza and the Sicilian. Absolutely amazing pizza! From the flavor to the dough and everything in between. The staff was super kind and we understood they’re still training everyone. They gave us a free chopped salad which was also very delicious. Prices are reasonable. We will be back to try more!

The OC Pizza Quest continues with the new kid on the block, Prime Pizza in Mission Viejo. Grand Opening today, 11/3/25.
This is an LA chain that is migrating down to Orange County, good thing for us.
Food: Fantastic pizza. As always, I like to qualify that with any new place, I establish the baseline and start with just a cheese slice. The dough is the star at Prime. Just a really, really good crust that’s baked perfectly. Nice crisp underneath, nice and airy in the crust area, and very tasty. It stands out. The sauce was just OK to be honest, but the dough was so damn good it didn’t matter. The cheese was very good quality as well, maybe even great. Despite the sauce not being great by itself, it all came together for a nearly perfect slice. So good. I also tried the pepperoni, also very good.
Service: Service was great. Plentiful employees for the grand opening and they were attentive. They were immediately helpful and very friendly. That’s encouraging for when I return. It stood out.
Atmosphere: It’s in a little center right off the 5 freeway in Mission Viejo. It’s a small suite, no indoor seating, only a couple of outdoor tables. It’s really meant to grab a quick slice, or to take out if you’re getting a full pie. Not much atmosphere really to speak of but it’s nice inside, gives a good slice shop vibe at least.
Overall, I was quite impressed and I very much look forward to returning to try more of their pizzas, they have some great looking ones (I’m looking at you, Vodka slice). They also have some sicilian style but I didn’t try that on this visit, was focused only on the NY style. Immediately, this is probably a top 3 NY-Style pizza joint in OC. If you’re in South County and are looking for NY style pizza, this is a place for you.

I’m picky about food. But this pizza was actually so good. Probably my new favorite pizza place. For the longest time my favorite was pizza guys off Moulton parkway. Now imma be sure to hit up prime pizza because that white pizza and garlic knots are great. I don’t like marinara either and I actually loved theirs.
