Nice local spot, has been around for over 10yrs too, local neighborhood place. Sit and have a drink at the bar or bar tables… or take a table for your meal. We did both. The drinks were good, the apps were good: wings nice sweet heat and crispy, the dumplings & fried mozzarella both the typical flavor and didn’t stand out but still enjoyable, as for the stuffed clams, kinda the usual all bread little clam( what were we thinking). Our meals were overall good too; the chicken cordon bleu came pre sliced not as hot as I would like though, a little dry lacking enough cheesy center, yet it was still tasty, and on the other hand the marinated skirt steak was enjoy by two others in our party, full of flavor cooked correctly and very tender. All sides of rice and broccoli were a nice complement to our entrees. (one less star for the maraschino cherries in our old fashion and the waitress with zero personality) note: the table was well serviced though; waters filled regularly, bread replenished, plates cleared!

I’ve been coming here for years and if you’re looking for a friendly atmosphere for dinner or to watch your favorite team, Sal’s Place is the place to go. There is a separated dining area so you’re not just crammed by the bar. No pool table, no fights, no hassles. Food is good with a large variety of options plus specials. The staff busts their asses to make sure your needs are cared for. If you’ve never been here, give it try and I promise you it won’t be the last time you’re there.

Good food good prices good atmosphere. Local hangout, where you’ll always meet a friend and watch a game on the large array of TV’s
We sat by the bar area at the high top table, and ordered off the bar menu this time.
Food was tasty, served quickly, the right temperature and very reasonably priced.
Jack is a wonderful and attentive bartender, and the manager Cookie, always comes by to make sure everything is perfect.
If you haven’t been there before, you need to give it a shot, I know you’ll be back!

Are you looking for somewhere to go on a Friday or Saturday night. I’m talking about a place where you can eat drink and have fun. I’m talking about a place where the beer flows like wine, where the men & women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano! I’m talking about a little place called Sals Place! This local spot has been serving the community of N.Massapequa for many years. The menu offers alot of great options and one of them is the Steak Tidbit sandwich. Topped with melted mozzarella on a open faced garlic bread that was nice and soft and still had a good crunch to it and make no mistake about it the star of this sandwich is the Steak. For those who aren’t familiar with Hanger steak back in the old days it was nicknamed butcher steak because it was loved so much by them they didn’t want to sell it to their customers, they wanted to hang on to their steak! If you go to Sals Place I highly recommend the Tidbit sandwich its a great portion too. The only mistake I made was leaving half my sandwich unattended when I came back from the bathroom my wife ate the rest of it. I looked at her disgusted and said you really shouldn’t eat my steak sandwich my mother ate my steak sandwich once………….ONCE!!!

They are open for dine in right now, but I suggest reservations! This place is EXCELLENT! I’ve been here a few times and a family member uses them for catering! My favorite is the pot roast sandwich!

Very good! This was my first time coming here and I really liked the food. It wasn’t too crowded, and the service was pretty good. They have a nice dining area and a bar. The Mozzarella sticks are a nice appetizer, and the cheeseburger and fries were pretty good! I have a severe nut allergy and they don’t use peanut oil or anything on the menu with peanuts beside a dessert. Also, the place was decorated very nicely for the holidays. Very nice place, you should definitely check it out!
