Went to this little joint for a Bachelorette dinner after renting a house on the beach. Good food, decent service, sat us right away. Would recommend it! But be warned going in, it’s not cheap, menu picture attached. The girls also ordered Mac and cheese, fries, Caesar, flat iron steaks and spaetzle. Everyone liked the food!

I took my fiance here for Valentine’s day, and the experience was great, but it is very overpriced. The ambience is romantic, so it’s perfect for a date. The service was great, the cocktails are well made, and the food was above average. The price however was far above the quality. $30 for a good, not great flat iron, and $18 for a good, not great lamb burger was high. $12 for a glass of wine from a $25 bottle and $12 for an old fashioned was ridiculous. I might go back again, but wouldn’t order alcohol, and would stick to appetizers.

Menu is small and doesn’t change much, but this is QUALITY food. Lee (chef/owner) knows what she’s doing. Very nice neighborhood feel and friendly staff. The habañero Margarita is always spicy and refreshing. The fresh fish is always delicious, as is the gnocchi. Veggies are always local and delicious. Wings are awesome. What else….Just go! My only complaint is that it can get very stuffy inside. Just ask them to open the doors and windows if they’re not open already. Oh, and also a very cute patio outside where you can now dine.

My wife and best friends and I dined at Blackbird recently. The bartenderlp was amazing and made delicious cocktails. The server was a little less than what we expected. The meal was rushed and items were removed before they were finished.
The food was excellent, so I’d still recommend making the stop. I must admit, however, the menu was a little kale heavy.

Excellent food! We had the truffle oil fries, the lingcod, and the pork and clams– all very tender and very flavorful. With only one waitress on the clock, service was a bit slow, but the cozy atmosphere and great company made it feel great all the same. Would recommend and will return!

Our 3rd time to Blackbird….heavenly. fabulous fabulous flavors. This time we had the butter lettuce salad with poppyseed dressing and pistacio, fried cauliflower with the curry sauce and cilantro sauce, Brussels sprouts with bacon and the mac ‘n cheese. Service is excellent, Marisol, our server knows food and not just memorized list. We will be back…and hope sometime to have room for dessert.

Ate there in April 2015. Small quantities of food acquired in exchange for large amounts of money. My $30 scallop plate, for instance, came with 3 scallops, and could have hidden under a coaster. Even that might have been OK if it had been extraordinarily delicious… but it wasn’t. It was rather ordinary, really, nothing outside the realm of home cookery. There was also a selection of mediocre wines for extraordinary prices. Service, also, was OK, but nothing remarkable. I doubt I’ll be going back. There must be something better in Manzanita.

Pricey for Oregon coast and I would easily pay it again. Visiting the folks from out of county and wanted a place that was nice to explore with the family. The food was perfect and the feel and mood exceptional. The place feels a little like down town Portland and atmosphere out of place for Manzanita, but awesome diversity for a date night or any celebration. Thank you.

Got us in before the reservation crowd. Great atmosphere and professional bartending. Locally grown ingredients were showcased and intensified the flavor profiles of each dish that we had. Fried cauliflower amazing and the fresh fennel was awesome with the seabass.

Excellent food and a nice atmosphere. We had the steak medium rare and thr gnocchi. If you are in a rush this probably isn’t the place for you but we were drinking and lounging so it was fine.
