Let me tell you something, I’ve been a Springfield native for my 29 years of life. Cashew chicken is crafted and created in the forges of mid-western glory, it may have been invented in Springfield but it was perfected right here in Nixa. The BEST money can buy. I’d pay $30 for one meal here. Doesn’t get better.

Edit 2/2/26:
This is a response to the businesses reply. I would’ve came inside to show the employees, but I live 30 minutes away, and didn’t want to drive 30 minutes back, one way, to show someone a plate of food. There’s no way you are unaware of the portion sizes, especially in the lo mien dishes. The picture I attached is what I took as soon as I got home and noticed how empty it was. Usually I wouldn’t be one to complain about something like this, but my family and I have came here for years and it gets worse every time. So, I decided to voice my concern on here, and never return.

Food is pretty good but the portions are very small. I spent over $100 on multiple items and when I saw the portion sizes I was shocked. I swear I could count how many noodle were in my lo mein.

Kind of concerned. The sweet and sour chicken didn’t look anything like the menu photo and is also Kool-Aid red. It really looks like red dye was poured on it?It almost looks pink. I’m not one to leave reviews but this was the strangest sweet and sour chicken I’ve ever had and thought others may want to know what it is before ordering.

I gave it 3 stars because the food was not that good and they only give one crab rangoon (that had nothing in it, as shown in review photos) while other places offer more than that for the same prices. Like other people mentioned, the chicken is crunchy in a weird way and the rice was very plain and small for most places that I am used to. I wanted to try this place and I will say one time is enough for me.

I grew up around the corner from this place and still try to come here every time I’m back in town. I’ve probably tried 75% of the other Chinese food in the area (Springfield, Ozark, etc.) and it doesn’t touch this place. In my mind it’s Cashew Inn and Yen Ching and then a steep fall off where everyone else lands. I will die on this hill. My wife grew up in a Triple 8’s family and has whole heartedly converted to Cashew Inn.

Give this place a try and enjoy well seasoned, fully cooked food for a good price. I have very few strong opinions, but Cashew Inn is one of them!

They are extremely stingy with meat in non-fried menu items. I got three small pieces in my large curry chicken that was supposed to feed two to three people. They LOVE piling on the onions. They should call this place Onion-In-Onion-IN because that’s basically all I got.

I was very disappointed in the beef fried rice, the beef was the same color as the rice, it looked boiled. Not much happier with the sweet and sour pork, I gave it two stars because the crab rangoons were decent. I always enjoy having leftovers, this will not be saved. On top of that, no chopsticks or fortune cookie…

Oddly enough this was first time I had eaten here. I got the cashew chicken combo. I like crunchy chicken but this way way overcooked, almost burnt. The oil they used to fry it in was old, too. Wasn’t particularly impressed with the “crab rangoon” either. I could see how it could be good, but they missed the mark tonight.

Sweet and sour chicken was 1/2 edible, the other half was cooked rock hard. Containers used were not strong enough for contents and it spilt in the bag.

Always happy with my meal from this place. I always use the drive thru and order the general chicken. It has the perfect sweet and spicy mix for my preference.
